Last night, Ryan was a stinker. He woke up at 1:30 but I didn't hear a thing. I woke up when Tyler got out of bed to get Ryan. I still can't believe how asleep I was. I always hear Ryan but I guess I really needed my sleep last night. I was up with him until 2:30 and then up again at 5 and 6 until 6:36. I walked into the room and felt bad because Tyler's alarm was just about to go off. Tyler got out of bed, showered and I guess had taken Ryan out into the living room with him. I was fast asleep but was soon awoken when Tyler brought Ryan into the room again. Tyler went off to work and I stayed in bed with Ryan. He fell back asleep and so did I. It was amazing. We slept until 10.
I managed to get some breakfast in between Ryan's many breakfasts. I played with him and he was only happy if I was walking around with him in my arms. I put a lot of miles on today, pointing out things on shelves and the things on our fridge (the newest pictures from Gavin and Dani), and the many things that were out in the water. He would close his eyes and make like he was asleep so I would sit down and right away his eyes would open and he would start to fuss.
Tyler came home for lunch and I heated up some leftovers from a few days ago. Tyler got some Ryan time while I got some hands free time. Tyler left for work again and I fed Ryan again. He fell asleep and I had some time to do a bit of a work out and type some emails I've been meaning to send. Ryan didn't wake up until I started the blender in preparation for tonights meal.
Tyler came home from work and started studying while holding Ryan. I finished making dinner. Tonight we had buns with cheese and turkey slices along with chicken noodle soup. On the buns was a very tasty mixture of mayo with red peppers and garlic. It was a really good meal but I'm getting hungry again.
After dinner, we have been spending quality time with each other. We've been playing with Ryan, singing to him, reading to him, walking with him. He's given us loads of smiles, coo's, some cries (he doesn't like tummy time) and now he has the hiccups. He is just such a sweet little man. We are going to be giving him his bath soon and then I'm thinking it's another feast and then off to bed. We have been going to bed when Ryan does so it's almost bed time for us too.
I'm not sure what tomorrow holds but I might try to join a local walking group. I found out a few days ago that there is a group of expecting and new parents who go for a walk Tuesday and Thursdays so it might be nice to get out of the house. But Ryan calls the shots. We will see if he is up for it.
