Well it's been a while now since I've typed anything. I seem to be a lot busier these days with things much more important than spending time on a computer.
Today was a pretty good day, minus about 30 minutes this afternoon. Ryan slept like a prince last night, letting me get a total of 5 and a half hours of sleep. I stayed up with him while Tyler went to bed at around 10:30 last night. Ryan had taken a prolonged nap yesterday afternoon so I was up with him, playing under his toys till about 11:30. At that time, I could see that he was getting tired so I fed him and cuddled him while he fell asleep. I wish I could go days without sleeping because I would love to just sit and watch him. He is so precious. I love him so much. It's so cute to watch him twitch and breath. But, since I do need sleep, I put him in his crib and headed into bed myself.
I woke up at around 5:30ish wondering why I hadn't been woken up earlier. Ryan was still sleeping and I was confused. He has never slept that long at night before. I was impressed and quickly got back to sleep, not knowing when he would be awake. As it turns out, Ryan woke me up about 15 minutes after that and I got up to feed him. It was quick though and I was back in bed in about 45 minutes.
Tyler left for work and Ryan was ready to play. I got up, changed his diaper and we played on his mat. He was full of smiles this morning. I read him some stories about Moses out of the Bible. Soon enough, he had enough of laying down so I paced with him around the house. He fell asleep and I thought I could get a workout in while he slept. He woke up with about 10 minutes left in the video so the last 10 minutes of my work out stretched out for about half an hour. Oh well, Ryan rules this house now and it's up to him when I do my own thing.
Tyler came home from work and I was able to go shower. Tyler read to Ryan about the Oilers and enjoyed some time with his son. I made some lunch and by that time, Ryan was hungry as well. I'm certainly getting use to never eating my meals right away. Tyler left for work and I was left with my do to list for the afternoon.
My goal was to get to the store for the remaining items on our list and also go for a walk around town. The snow has been falling in big flakes all day so I wanted to get out in that beauty. Tyler has the carrier all ready for me on the bed and all I needed to do was put Ryan in a snow suit and then put him in the carrier and off we go. But, Ryan decided that he didn't want to put on his snow suit and he began crying. I figured that once I got him in his carrier he would settle right down and fall asleep. He didn't sleep all morning so I was excited for his nap. But as time went on, I couldn't figure out the carrier worked and Ryan started crying more and more. I got frustrated and so was he so I decided that we weren't going out today. Ryan just wanted to cuddle with me on the couch so that's what I did. It was such a great way to spend my afternoon. Ryan fell asleep and I put him in his crib. He didn't flinch at all so you know he was out like a light.
I did the dishes and made dinner then sat down for some me time. I worked on my cross stitch for Ryan which I am so close to being done. I would have been done a long time ago but it's tough to cross stitch when Ryan is way more entertaining.
And now, Tyler is studying while I finish up this blog. I plan on cross stitching because Ryan is still sleeping soundly. I'm so in love with him. I'm really enjoying being his mom and watching Tyler be his dad. This is such a fun stage in our lives.
