Today was a really great day. I always enjoy having Tyler around the whole day. Ryan was very nice to me last night, letting me sleep all the way to 3:30 before he needed another feast. That was a solid 5ish hours of sleep for me and that's the most I've slept in about 8 weeks.
Ryan got lots of Dad time today. I love watching the 2 of them play together. It's so cute. Tyler also did a bit of studying throughout the day. It's going to be nice when he doesn't have to spend his free time reading text books or studying for a quiz. I can't wait either because for the past year since he started his course, I've had little to do as well. This is going to be a great summer because when Tyler comes home from his day at the hospital, he can relax and spend quality time with his family. He wont have to sit and read a text book. I know he probably will have to prepare for his big MRI certification exam but every waking moment wont be dedicated to reading those boring text books. We will get to go on walks in the sun and enjoy family gatherings. I can't wait. It's really going to be an amazing summer.
We did find out some sort of bad news. We found out that the place we were going to rent is no longer available for us. All that really means is that we have to now look for another place. I looked on the internet and found a few places but the rent is more then we were planning on paying. It's frustrating because we have about 6 weeks until we need a place and we need to find a place that will rent to us for only 4 months. I'm not super worried about it because we did find 2 places that would work for us so now it's just a matter of hearing back from the place. What is nice is that one of the places is right by my Oma's house so I could very easily go and visit her with Ryan. And the other place is about 5 minutes away from the hospital where Tyler is doing his practical so we could save on gas money. I just hope these places aren't total dives but I guess we could live any where since it's only for 4 months.
Our day wasn't too exciting. The weather was amazing and we planned on going for a walk to the store and probably around town too. As we were getting ready to packed Ryan up in his carrier, he fell asleep in my arms. It was decided that Tyler would just go to the store so the little man could get some rest. I stayed home and watched a bit of down hill slalom while cross stitching.
Tyler came home and we unpacked the food. We went to our friends apartment and we thought it was a St. Patrick's Day type party so Tyler bought green food coloring. He baked green cookies while I worked out. We were going to have green eggs and ham but that never happened for some reason.
We got all dressed in green and headed over to Jessica's place. She had made all sorts of tasty food and it was fun to hang out again. It was a small crowd who joined us, only about 7 people from Tyler's work but it was still fun. Ryan did a lot of sleeping and he was passed around when he was awake. There was a guy there who I'm pretty sure is a baby whisperer because Ryan just cooed and settled right down whenever this guy was holding him. It wasn't really a St. Patrick's Day party but there was green beer, green cookies and a bit of greenery in the room so I'd say that was a close as we were going to get to celebrating the day. It probably would have been more appropriate if the party was in our apartment as it is all green and would have set the mood a little better. It was great to get out of the house though and hang out with people. We laughed a lot and it was fun.
Ryan started getting fussy and harder to calm down so we headed home. I fed him and Tyler worked his magic and soon Ryan was asleep. He slept for 5 and a half hours again last night. I'm so proud of him.
Ryan is such a little stinker. All week, he's been staying awake pretty much all day and then Saturday he sleeps for most of the day. Our friend Jan thinks she knows why he's doing that as her child did the same thing. She thinks that because Ryan is use to having Tyler around (the first 6 weeks of his life), he doesn't want to sleep because he's waiting for Tyler to come home. I wasn't too sure about that theory but then when Ryan slept more regularly on Saturday, I believed her.
