March 4, 2012

Tyler was shocked to find out that I have never seen the movie "The Mighty Ducks".  Apparently it came out when we were 4 years old so I'm not sure why it was so unbelievable.  But I've learned something new about Tyler too - he has never heard the song, "There was an old woman who swallowed a fly".  I was singing it to Ryan and Tyler was looking at me like I was crazy.  It's a great song and I wont be having my son grow up without knowing it.

Our day started really awesome.  Ryan slept for about 5 hours last night so we were well rested when he started stirring at 3.  I got up to feed him and for an hour, he ate while I cross stitched.  I'm working on a project for a friend here in town and I'm almost done it.  It's a simple design that has only taken me one day to nearly finish.  I expect to be done in 2 days.

Once our day got started, we played with Ryan and Tyler also did some studying.  I'm not sure what occupied our day so it's tough to write about it.  I know I took a good nap this afternoon while Ryan also took a nap on the couch.  I woke up and joined Tyler, watching Ryan sleep.  He slept for a very long time which was nice to have some time just the 2 of us.

We finished the evening with quick walk around town.  I had Ryan strapped to my chest and he fell asleep as we walked in the cold.  It's nice to be back in town again with all the familiar smells.

We are currently watching Mighty Ducks and Ryan is laying on Tyler's lap batting at a toy, cooing away.  He keeps getting cuter and cuter with every passing moment.  He is a happy content baby and we are so lucky that he is part of our life.

Tomorrow is my first day alone with Ryan.  I'm a little nervous because I don't know what to expect.  I hope Ryan doesn't decide to become an unhappy baby and cry all day long.  I also hope he takes a few long naps like he has been.  It should be an interesting day.  I'm not anticipating anything bad as I know Ryan is a good baby who is easy to take care of.

I'm not focusing very well right now so I apologize if this blog seems poorly written.
