March 14, 2012

Ryan was such a little stinker today.  He woke up at a normal time this morning at around 8 but then he stayed awake all day long.  For the past few weeks, he's been up in the mornings but then he naps all afternoon.  Today was a different story.  Ryan would fall asleep in my arms so I would attempt to put him in his crib so he can get a really good sleep.  But every time I put him down, his eyes would open and he would let me know he didn't want to be in his crib.  That happened so many times and it started to get a little annoying.  I don't know why he wouldn't stay asleep because he was yawning and was tired.  Silly boy.  He did eventually stay asleep at 4:30.  He went all day on maybe an hour total of sleep.  I'm hoping that that means tonight will be a good long night but I have a feeling it might be the opposite instead.  Time will tell.

So there was lots of Ryan time today.  We got up and played under the mat for a while.  I read to him from Exodus and tomorrow we are moving on to the book of Joshua.  Once he got sick of being on the floor, I walked around with him and he closed his eyes.  I put him in his crib and started my workout.  I got about 10 minutes into the video when Mr. Ry man woke up again.  I took him out and he watched me finish up my video.

Tyler came home and I headed to the store for the last items on our list.  It was really windy and I didn't want to take Ryan out in it so Tyler watched him for a while.  I found most of the items and was home before I knew it.

Tyler headed back to work and I anticipated Ryan falling asleep and I could go about my afternoon to do list.  But, Ryan made it impossible to do anything.  He also hit himself in the face and started crying really loud and sad.  I was ready for Tyler to come home so I could do something.  Tyler ended up being slightly late home from work and by that time, Ryan was fast asleep and not waking up.  Tyler started on dinner and dishes and said I could just do my own thing.  I was very grateful for that.  It was nice to have a bit of time to myself.

Tonight we have pecan crusted chicken with rice and it was SO amazing.  It was the greatest dinner this week so far.

And the evening has been spent watching some hockey on the internet while Tyler studied.  I worked on my cross stitch.  Tyler is now holding Ryan and making him sleep.  I'm pretty excited to get to sleep tonight.  It's been a tiring day.  But I have enjoyed my time with Ryan.  I'm lucky to get to spend so much time with him.  He loves to smile and giggle and I love to watch him.
