I have to blog early again but not because of weather. It's because I find that I can't stay up late at all these days. I'm usually okay until about 8:45 and then I go down hill fast. I just get more and more exhausted and then head to bed. Actually, even right now my eyes are getting fuzzy as I try to stay awake. Baby must be growing lots these days because it's taking all my energy to do anything, even just stay awake.
We both got a really good sleep last night and would have slept longer then we did if it wasn't for Tyler's work phone ringing. We were awoken at 7am because doofus upstairs didn't turn his alarm off for the long weekend but we were able to get back to sleep until about 9:45am. It was nice for Tyler to get to sleep in. He didn't expect to sleep as long as he did.
Tyler went off to work and I stayed in bed for a while longer. It looked pretty nice outside so I got out of bed and was excited to see clear sky and sun. Right away the plan for the day was to spend as much time outside as we could: go for a long walk and maybe hang out on the deck. But as is customary to this corner of the world, the sun started to hide behind some dark clouds.
We decided to go for a walk and end up at the Band Store for a few groceries. As soon we got out of the house, it started raining. That was sad. No longer could we see blue sky or sun, only grey cloud and rain. We went to the store any way and got a few items. We have learned that in order to get our weekly supply of milk, it's best to go on Friday. We just have to make sure to pick up a jug that isn't set to expire the next day. What's kind of interesting about our milk consumption these days is that I don't drink as much milk like I used to. We still have half a jug I need to finish before it's expiry date tomorrow. That has never happened to us before. I usually go through milk like it's going out of style and have to stop myself from drinking it so it lasts longer, but not this week. I think it's because I've been eating granola which fills me up and therefore I don't need a second bowl, meaning less milk used.
We saw a sign that said the Koeye Cafe was open for a pay by donation sale so we went and checked that out. There is always a bunch of really cool things there and today there were clothes for all ages. And since we have a little one who will be growing very fast out of anything we buy, I looked through the cute little clothes. Tyler got called into work again and I stayed to search for more clothes. I managed to pick out a few really cute sweaters and some pants. I came home and started up the washer so Baby J can wear some clean clothes.
Tyler came home from his call back and we enjoyed a late lunch of smokies and man were they so good!!! I spent the rest of the afternoon cross stitching and folding laundry while Tyler studied and played some wii.
We were looking forward to watching the Oiler's game on the internet but they started to lose so we stopped and Tyler played some video game hockey instead.
Calico and TK showed up looking for some food so I gave them some canned salmon we were never going to eat. They loved that. TK is just so cute and I want to take them in and have them as my own pets, but I can't. Kitten wouldn't like that at all. She always hisses at them through the screen door.
We didn't have a real dinner because we weren't hungry yet so Tyler cooked up some fries and I am about to eat some more granola. I do love my granola.
Because our friends had a baby yesterday, I've been thinking more and more about meeting our own little baby. It must just be so exciting to hold your child for the first time and they got to experience that yesterday. I'm sad that we don't get to be closer to meet this little boy and I don't want to hold my baby yet - only because it's not ready to come out yet. But I sure can't wait for that moment, when everything will change. So I am jealous but so happy for them.
Baby J was moving a ton today. It was fantastic.
