I learned a lesson yesterday: hamburgers do not make good breakfast foods. As Tyler stated, that's what we had yesterday when we got out of bed and it ruined most of my day. I spent most of it trying to cure the pain that I was feeling in my gut and the rest of the day was spent sleeping it off. So, I will only be eating real breakfast foods from now on. You would think I could make that choice without going through that horrible experience but I guess not.
And since I spent a good portion of the day asleep, that meant that I spent a good portion of last night awake. I was tossing and turning and couldn't get comfortable. I always feel bad because I know that Tyler can't sleep when I move a lot so I tried to limit shifting positions as much as I could.
The morning came a little sooner then it has for a week. Tyler is not on call so he had to wake up 6:45 am. I was able to get back to sleep after Tyler left and upstairs doofus's alarm was shut off.
I got out of bed to find that my most favorite season has finally arrived. It was snowing this morning and it was beautiful! I love snow and I've been teased for the past few days with snow covering the mountains but never falling around us. And this morning, I got my wish. They were huge flakes too so that was fun. I stood outside for a few minutes until I got too cold and came back inside to watch for a while. Of course, as the day went on the snow melted and now everything is just wet, but for that half an hour, it was gorgeous. I'm glad we get to experience real winter this winter. It's going to be fun.
Any way, I ate some breakfast and did a few dishes before Tyler came home. One of the best things about eating at someone else's house, like we did last night, is that we didn't have many dishes at all this morning. So it took about 5 minutes to do the dishes and then I was off into the shower.
Tyler came home for lunch and then was off to work again. I wrote a bit in my journal about life and everything for about an hour and then started working out. I played some DDR and lifted weights. I'm trying to build arm strength because I realize that babies tend to want to be held and it might be a little beneficial to gain a bit of muscle before our little one makes it's arrival. Also, our friends just had an 11 pound baby and I want to be prepared for something like that.
Tyler came home from work and we headed out to the store for the last of our list items. We only needed a few things for tonight's meal of tacos so we were home soon enough. Tyler cooked up the meat and I shredded the cheese the lettuce. It was a tasty meal and we enjoyed some good conversation.
After we cleaned up, we watched our weekly Dexter episode and now we are just enjoying our time. Tyler is reading a new book after some studying and I'm about to cross stitch some more. I haven't been able to do a lot of this project recently so I'm wanting to work on it tonight.
Baby J was kicking Tyler's hand as we watched Dexter. I love it when he can feel that little person in there. Baby has been dancing a lot lately and usually gets stage fright when I try to show Tyler. He can never seem to see the movements. I think this baby takes after Tyler, who can be a turkey at times too.
