So we have been back in Bella Bella now for 2 weeks and it's been an adjustment. I knew it would be but I was thinking more about Ryan adjusting to the new time zone and new bedroom and environment, not thinking about how I would have to adjust as well. I had a tough time being away from my family because I got to see my sisters and Madi and Cameron a lot during the summer. It was just tougher then I thought it would be to be away from everyone. I had gotten so use to being apart from everyone before the summer, and then I got use to being close to everyone during the summer. Now, I have to get use to being apart again and that's tougher then I thought it would be. I'm doing a lot better now that things are getting into some sort of a routine.
Ryan is just growing and doing so well. He has 2 teeth now, both on the bottom and he can crawl. He is such a stinker! Ryan will only crawl when there is water on the other end of the deal. He is so cute when he does it. We have a video of it which Tyler will get up on the internet as some point.
Tyler has been studying like a crazy person for the past 2 months and it all pays off on Tuesday. He goes down to Vancouver on Monday, writes his test Tuesday morning and comes home again Wednesday. I think he might sleep for a week afterwards. I'm so proud of him for working so hard at this. He is an all-star!!!
There isn't too much else to talk about. Our days are usually all the same. Ryan wakes up at 6:30 every morning no matter how many times he woke up the night before. He takes his first nap at 9:30 and sleeps for 2 hours. This past week, he's been going to bed at 5 and sleeping most of the night. He squawks every 2 hours and I feed him and he goes right to sleep again. On Monday, he woke up for 2 hours at 1 am. On Tuesday, he woke up at 3am for 2 hours. This morning, Ryan woke up at 5 for the day. It's tough not getting the right amount of sleep. But it's worth it because Ryan is such a sweet little boy. He is the love of our lives and we are so blessed to be his parents.
That's all for now.

So glad that you updated:) This blog is one of my favorites and it was so sad to see it "dormant" for so long - somewhat understandable though . . .
ReplyDeleteSo sweet that Ryan is crawling and growing teeth and changing every day! I can understand that you needed to adjust - we lived back and forth between Edmonton and ThunderBay, Ontario for a couple of years (Fred and James were little guys then) and it became tougher and tougher to go away each time - my siblings were having babies and I was away for all of their first babies!!!
I'm sure Bella Bella is rejoicing that you are back:)
Hi Aunt Diana, I kind of forget that people can comment on these blog posts.
DeleteSorry if I haven't responded at all to them.
