This has been a really great weekend. It's the first weekend that Tyler didn't have to hide himself away in our room to study while Ryan and I had a great time in the living room. It's been so awesome to have Tyler done school. Tyler doesn't know what to do with himself though. I keep asking him what program he will take next just to fill his time but he's adamant that he's done with schooling for now.
Yesterday was a lazy day around here. We played with Ryan and ended the day with a pretty good movie. We watched "The Grey" which is basically like a horror movie but with wolves as the bad guys. It was pretty good even though it actually wasn't that good. I kind of don't really remember what else happened yesterday so that's all I have to say about that.
Today didn't start that great but it was another awesome day. Ryan had me out of bed by 6:15 am and I was tired. I wish there was something I could do to make him sleep more but I didn't sleep lots as a baby either so maybe that has something to do with his "problems". He goes to bed good most of the time but then wakes up about 4 hours later wide awake and ready to play some more. It's frustrating because he usually wakes up right as I crawl into bed, exhausted from the day. Weekends are good because Tyler is up with me so I'm not thinking about him all warm in the bed, sleeping nicely while I'm out in the living room with the Ry.
Tyler got up at about 7:15 and told me to go back to bed. I slept for maybe an hour and then I joined them. I could hear them laughing and giggling and I hate to miss out on the fun times with my family. We enjoyed some breakfast and then played. Ryan napped and Tyler and I got some alone time which we used to either read a magazine or cross stitch.
Once Ryan woke up, we had plans to eat lunch and go for a walk to the airport. We packed Ryan up in his carrier but the weather didn't agree with us. It looked like it was going to rain and we didn't want to be stuck out in that weather with Ryan. So we headed to the store instead. We ran into our upstairs neighbor and she said that there isn't anything unloaded yet. Apparently, the store has been getting lazy and they don't unpack their food until Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. It's frustrating enough that we have to pay outrageous prices for food but to have it not unloaded when we need it to. I find that unacceptable. Being the only grocery in town, they should have their stuff together enough to have their food unloaded for Sunday afternoon. But, I'm not running this town so I'll try not to complain too much about it. We got a few food items and headed back home. We picked up our turkey for Thanksgiving which is exciting.
We had Ryan sleeping but he's awake now, kind of crying and making noise in his crib. And we have no other plans for the evening besides trying to get Ryan back to sleep.
