Travel Home

This morning was an early one.  It was up at 6 and time to get ready for my trip west.  After some last minute checks, making sure everything was in order, rifles unloaded and locked and everything was packed.  Then it was off to the airport for my flight.  It was pretty busy there this morning.  Seemed like everyone was traveling after the weekend.  It took me 50 minutes to get checked in and through security.  Usually it is only 15-20 minutes to get to the other side.  I was waiting in line at Tim Horton's to get some breakfast and a last taste of civilization until December.  While I was waiting I saw two of my instructors from NAIT.  It was kind of weird seeing people you know in the airport.  They didn't recognize me, so I continued on my way.

The flight to Vancouver was uneventful.  I collected my luggage and made my way to the shuttle to get to the Pacific Coastal terminal.  There was a fog warning in Port Hardy so my flight to Bella Bella was delayed.  It was boarded and ready to take off only a few minutes late.  It too was uneventful after we finally left Vancouver.  I got back into Bella Bella around 1 and came back into town.  After getting into town I dropped off my stuff and went to pick up my new battery for my car.  I quickly changed it and my car fired right up.  So I am glad that it was just a dead, unchargeable battery and not something worse like the starter being shot or something worse.

I came back inside and started to unpack.  After that was done, I went to pay the internet bill and went to get some groceries so I can eat tonight and the rest of the week.  Around 5 I went up to pick up our cat from the cat sitters.  She ran around for a bit and meow a lot before finally settling down.

Back at home though Sonja stayed and will be there until October 2.  But today she had an ultrasound appointment to check on our little baby.  She is 20 weeks tomorrow, moving the babies arrival to the end of January.  The picture wasn't the greatest, but I will try to get one from the doctor that we had done before we came home in August.  If I can get one, I will put it up.  The ones that were taken then were much clearer, and therefore much cuter.

Baby at 20 weeks.
