Today was yet another really great day for me. I woke up, got out of bed and enjoyed some breakfast while reading the news paper. Most of what's in the paper isn't really interesting so I tend to just flip through the pages until I get to the comics.
After breakfast, I went and worked on my cross stitch project for about an hour until Ranita came to pick me up. Our plan for today was to go to a cafe and enjoy each other's company while she wrote out her wedidng thank you cards.
But first, we had to make a quick stop at the mall to get some last minute gifts for a party we are going to on Saturday. Once at the mall, we looked around Chapters, mainly so I could just buy a book to keep myself occupied on the trip home next week. So, we looked around and I found one that is a diary of a young girl who lived through one of the wars. It looked really interesting as it is a real life encounter and it was also only 4 dollars, so I had to buy it.
We walked up and down the mall, trying to think of what kind of gift to buy. We found what we liked and soon we were on our way to the cafe for lunch and lounging.
Ranita had warned me about how expensive this place was, but I had no idea. I ordered a chicken cesear salad and it was way more then I thought it was worth, especially because they used the gross bitter middle part of the lettus leaves which didn't add to the meal. We sat and talked and laughed and it was really an awesome time.
We left the cafe and found a grassy knoll to sit on and just talked and laughed some more. We were killing time before we had to meet my cousin Christine at Costco to go food shopping for this party. Once the time came, we met up and started our shopping trip. Costco is a great place but it's easy to spend lots of money there so it's a good thing there isn't one in Bella Bella.
Once that was over, Ranita dropped me off at home again and I sat with Dad as he made Mormor pancakes for supper. It's been so long since I've had those and they were just a tasty as I remember them to be. After dinner, we sat around the table and talked until I got a phone call from Tyler.
I then talked with Tyler for about an hour about our day and all the funny things that happened to him today.
And now, we are sitting in front of the tv, watching Oilers hockey and I'm cross stitching. It's not a very entertaining evening but it's a nice way to end the day.
Baby J has been moving around a lot. I was poking it this morning and it seemed to kick me back again. I can't wait to get home so Tyler can start to feel this little person move too.
I'm pretty tired right not but I plan on staying up and working on my project for a little while longer.
Tyler, I love you and I miss you.
