2 days

2 days until Sonja comes home to me.  I am pretty excited.  It's pretty boring here with all the rain and no one to talk to except for the cat.  I went into work this morning, hoping that it might be kind of busy, but I was let down.  It was very quiet after the initial morning rush.  Nothing substantial happened before lunch.

So I came home at lunch to relax from my already pretty slow day.  I had a sandwich and watched some TV before going back into work to wind down the week until the weekend.  I was able to do some studying as well as a few make work things to round out the day.  I also had a little bit of blood work mixed in there to spice things up.  The afternoon seemed to creep by however busy I kept myself.  Maybe because I was tired, the weekend was coming and I am just looking forward to Sonja coming home.  It finally wound down and I came home to another poor supper.  I don't really feel like making real food when I am on call, because usually I don't get home until after 5 and then to make a real meal makes supper after 6.  This is a problem because I am usually pretty hungry by 3:30-4 o'clock.  So I had some smokies again today, which were delicious going down, but not satisfying for too much longer.

After supper I watched some more Parks and Recreation until the end of season two.  When that was done I did some more studying.  When I was down studying and falling asleep on the couch I did some vacuuming so I don't need to do it tomorrow.

Last night I didn't sleep very good.  I went to bed later than I had wanted to because I got distracted by watching King's Ransom on TSN.  It was about the Gretzky sale to the Kings.  It was pretty good.  Good enough for me to stay up when I was already tired.

I went to bed and was asleep for only a few hours before my sleep was interrupted by the cat.  She has a thing where she just lumbers around the room, making a ton of noise and scratching on things until she notices that you are awake.  Then when she finds out that you are awake, she jumps up onto the bed and wants to cuddle.  So she kept me up for an hour last night before she finally curled up and fell asleep again.

I woke up when the alarm went off and went into work.  It was a pretty decent day.  It was steady, but not overly busy, so the day went by pretty quickly for me.  However since it was steady I had to stay late and didn't get home until twenty to six.  I got home and microwaved left overs from last night.  It was classy chicken, and again it was so good.

After I ate I did some studying and then called Sonja to catch up on the day.  We talked for about 45 minutes.  It was good.  In four days Sonja will be back home and then we won't need to do this anymore.

After talking I surfed the internet for a bit and watched Parks and Recreation, the show that gets funnier every time I watch it.

5 more days!

Today was a day that was spent all by myself.  Usually I don't really look forward to that or even really like that, but it was a really good day.  For the past few days, I've felt really busy with visiting and seeing people and I know that the remaining days I'm here will be super busy as well.  So I enjoyed a day to myself.

I woke up after finally sleeping in this morning.  I think I slept in because I was awake pretty late last night.  When I went to go to sleep, I heard something on the window outside and my mind got the better of me and I imagined someone trying to get through the screen on the window.  It freaked me out so I slept with the light on most of the night.

I enjoyed some breakfast this morning while reading the paper.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself when there isn't a paper to read in Bella Bella.  I guess there is always the internet but for some reason it's not really the same as actually holding a real news paper.

Once I was done in the kitchen, I went downstairs and started working on my cross stitching project.  I'm not really close to being done but it's always nice to get a good chunk done.  I did that for longer then I planned and soon it was 2 in the afternoon.  I'm not sure how the time went so fast as all I was doing was stitching.  I showered and then went upstairs to read a pregnancy book my mom has had forever.  I was reading outloud to Baby J and it started moving around and kicking me and letting me know that it really liked being talked too.  It was fun and so exciting to feel that.

I then went to take a nap.  I've been tired all day so I took a 45 minute nap and woke up a little more refreshed then I was before.  Dad came home and soon so did mom.  We had a tasty dinner together.

I was picked up by Joni and Ranita as they were driving around town doing whatever they were doing and so I also got to hang out with them again.  We had some good conversation and good laughs and talked about how excited we are the Joni is getting married in a few short days.  It's going to be a fun day.

I got home and called Tyler.  He is such a turkey, calling me Grinch Mc'Scrooge because of something I said about Christmas.  I can't wait to see him again and laugh with him in person again.

I joined mom and dad as they were watching Dancing with the Stars and that just ended so now I'm writing this short and to the point blog.  Even after sleeping in and napping, I'm still pretty tired.

Today, Baby J is 22 weeks old and moving up a storm.  It doesn't move all the time, but I love it when it does.  I even feel like I can feel it on the outside now too, but I'm not sure if that's just my brain tricking me because I can feel it on the inside.  I don't know.  I guess will be able to tell for sure in 5 more days.

More rain

Today it was another day of crazy Bella Bella weather. It was just lightly raining. I went into work and got ready for the day. The morning was kind of busy, but just playing catch up so the day would go smoothly. As the day progressed the weather got weirder. The rain would come down hard and the wind would blow. Then the next minute the sun was coming out and trying to shine. The weather continued like that all day. And it is continuing even now and getting worse as the night has gone on.

The day has been pretty boring from lunch until now. I was able to study at work and came home relax my night away. I was given leftovers last night from Kendra so I had that for supper tonight. After supper I realized that I needed to do the dishes as they were piling up. That took until six and since then I have been watching parks and recreation. It is probably my favorite show and it gets funnier everytime I watch it.

No plans for the rest of the night. I'm gonna call Sonja yet and then off to bed as I didn't sleep very good.

Super weekend!!

I had an amazing weekend.

Saturday was my cousins bachelorette party in which we went bowling and then back to her sister's house for games and food.  We overestimated how much people would eat and bought way to much cheese but we didn't know that no one would eat as much as we had put out.  For the sake of not embarrassing any one who was there, joining in all the inappropriate games, we will leave it at this:  It was a fun time with lots of laughs and good food.

Since I didn't get home and in bed until 2, I was expecting to sleep until my alarm rudely woke me up, but I was not so lucky this morning.  I woke up all by my self at 8 in the morning.  I did try to get back to sleep but it was hopeless.  I was awake and not getting back to sleep.

I went upstairs and had breakfast with my parents.  Good old jam and toast has never disappointed me.  It's just so good.  After breakfast and after getting dressed for the day, I sat in the living room awaiting my ride down to Ponoka.

Kyla was coming to get me so we could join in on cleaning her grandpa's house.  I did show up a little late but soon got to work scrubbing counter tops and walls and dusting and cleaning off chairs.  It was a really fun time with Carolyn, Karla, Kyla, and B.  Kyla and I were talking on the way over there about how silly we all were for agreeing to actually clean up some one else's house but it wasn't bad at all.  It was fun to talk and learn all about the lives of these other people and just having a girls afternoon together.

After the cleaning was done, we headed back into Ponoka to the local Boston Pizza to enjoy a meal together.  Kyla and I showed up first to reserve a table for 6 and the resturaunt looked empty so we thought it would be really easy to get our table.  But the waitress had to go and ask the manager about it.  She made a bit of a big deal out of it too even though there were only 2 other tables in the entire place that had people in them.  We didn't understand what the big deal was.  She also said we had to share menus.  It's like they didn't want us there.

We all ordered our food and continued to catch up with each other.  It was such a great time.  I was also surprised with some baby books given to me by Karla, Kyla and Carolyn.  And they are such cute little books.  One is about Grover, one is about shapes and animals and the other is about baby's first book.  Super cute and I know Baby J will love to read them.

Kyla was super awesome as she picked me and and dropped me back home again.  I really appreciate that because if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have been able to get down there and back up again.

And now I am home and almost falling asleep.  As of right now, I haven't talked with Tyler yet but that's just because he was invited over for dinner and probably cards at Kendra's place alone with Jessica, our new nurse friend.  I have some pretty bad heartburn because of BP's which I'm not enjoying so I'll have to do something about that.

It's so strange to me that a day of cleaning can pull me out of the rut I felt I was in.  Since Tyler left, I've been really missing him and really wanting to just go back home already.  I wasn't fully appreciating being home with my family and friends and I know that today changed that.  I feel renewed and I didn't think that a day of cleaning could ever do that for me.  I think it was the change in surroundings and people and just being busy all day.  It's nice to feel this way again.  It's not that I wasn't enjoying my time home, but I do miss Tyler and being in Bella Bella so being with his family really switched my attitude around.  Thank you ladies for the awesome day.  I really appreciate the time we spent together.

Last night we had a pretty big storm here. It was pouring rain and blowing like crazy outside. I think the weather man was a day off on his forecast and we got the huge winds last night. Unfortunately this meant that I missed watching my favorite shows premieres for the season as the tv was cutting in and out all night. I finally got fed up with that and watched a DVD.

I slept pretty good last night and kitty didn't bother me which was really nice. However I was still really tired at work today and the whole time I just wanted the day to be over. It wasn't and was one of the slowest day we've had in a long time.  My highlight of the workday was at lunch when I came home I saw a cruise ship sailing on down the channel, likely on its last run of the season. It was the Holland America Oosterdam. Needless to say I got a lot more studying done than I had thought I would. Finally though I came home and I went to the store to buy some hamburger for supper since I forgot to take some out to thaw. I made tacos and it was pretty tasty. After I ate I tried to go on the Internet, but ours is still out from the storm. I think our receiver got blown out of line or something because it hasn't connected all day. I tired to connect our original line, but that one to doesn't really work so it must be the main Internet source is off of line.

The night has been spent playing goldeneye and talking to Sonja. I can't wait for her to come home next week. Sorry for the quick blog but doing this from my phone is a real pain.

Another good day

Today was yet another really great day for me.  I woke up, got out of bed and enjoyed some breakfast while reading the news paper.  Most of what's in the paper isn't really interesting so I tend to just flip through the pages until I get to the comics.

After breakfast, I went and worked on my cross stitch project for about an hour until Ranita came to pick me up.  Our plan for today was to go to a cafe and enjoy each other's company while she wrote out her wedidng thank you cards.

But first, we had to make a quick stop at the mall to get some last minute gifts for a party we are going to on Saturday.  Once at the mall, we looked around Chapters, mainly so I could just buy a book to keep myself occupied on the trip home next week.  So, we looked around and I found one that is a diary of a young girl who lived through one of the wars.  It looked really interesting as it is a real life encounter and it was also only 4 dollars, so I had to buy it.

We walked up and down the mall, trying to think of what kind of gift to buy.  We found what we liked and soon we were on our way to the cafe for lunch and lounging.

Ranita had warned me about how expensive this place was, but I had no idea.  I ordered a chicken cesear salad and it was way more then I thought it was worth, especially because they used the gross bitter middle part of the lettus leaves which didn't add to the meal.  We sat and talked and laughed and it was really an awesome time.

We left the cafe and found a grassy knoll to sit on and just talked and laughed some more.  We were killing time before we had to meet my cousin Christine at Costco to go food shopping for this party.  Once the time came, we met up and started our shopping trip.  Costco is a great place but it's easy to spend lots of money there so it's a good thing there isn't one in Bella Bella.

Once that was over, Ranita dropped me off at home again and I sat with Dad as he made Mormor pancakes for supper.  It's been so long since I've had those and they were just a tasty as I remember them to be.  After dinner, we sat around the table and talked until I got a phone call from Tyler.

I then talked with Tyler for about an hour about our day and all the funny things that happened to him today.

And now, we are sitting in front of the tv, watching Oilers hockey and I'm cross stitching.  It's not a very entertaining evening but it's a nice way to end the day.

Baby J has been moving around a lot.  I was poking it this morning and it seemed to kick me back again.  I can't wait to get home so Tyler can start to feel this little person move too.

I'm pretty tired right not but I plan on staying up and working on my project for a little while longer.

Tyler, I love you and I miss you.

Pouring

Today started as usual for me. The cat woke me up early and wouldn't leave me alone. Finally she did and I was as to get back to sleep. Unfortunately that wasn't for long as she had other plans. She managed to wake me up again at from scratching on everything possible. By that time in the morning trying to sleep anymore is pretty well a lost cause as the alarm is about to go off. When it eventually did I got up and got ready for work. The best part of getting ready for work is that the NHL season is starting soon. The preseason started the other day so now there is a reason to watch sportscenter while I eat breakfast. This morning there was Oilers highlights on from their preseason games they played yesterday. Its a good time of year.

I went to work and the day didn't start off busy right away but by 8:30 the tide changed and I had 5 or so people come  in. Nothing major but it was a pleasant change of pace. It didn't last and everything was caught up and done by 10.

I came home for lunch and watched some tv before going back into work. The afternoon was kinda like the morning. It wasn't busy to start with but by 2 it had picked up, but only for xrays. So I entered them and my boss took them. I ended up inadvertently made a woman cry. She was traveling here from the UK and needed and Xray after a fall. She was in her first week of her 6 week Canadian tour and vacation. Apparently she ended up crying not because I was trying to make her arm move in a way that was too painful, but because I was super helpful and nice to her trying to get a hold of her travel insurance provider and helping her with everything involved with that like phone numbers etc.

I came home and finished up my schwarties casserole that I made on Monday. No plans for the rest of the night. It is pouring rain again and has for most of the day. We have 100km/h winds in the forecast tonight with another 60+ mm of rain. I figured I would blog early because the Internet hasn't really worked this week. While I was watching the news they had a segment on the great bear rainforest, where if you haven't realized yet is where we live. Just before we came home at the start of the month there was a boat washed up on grave island and they showed it on the news tonight. So if your interested and have the ability to, try to watch global BC evening news tonight or go to www.globaltvbc.com and look for the spirit bear link and you might see it there. Just something I thought was pretty cool.

Good Day!!!

Today was a really good day.

I got a decent amount of sleep, even though when I woke up I tried with all my might to get back to sleep.  That didn't work so I just got out of bed.  I ate some chocolate cheerios and read the paper before heading downstairs to work on my cross stitching.

After about an hour and a half of stitching, I was getting changed out of my pjs when there was a knock on my door.  I was expecting my best friend at 1 but it was only 12:30.  I was really happy when it was Ranita because I haven't been able to hang out with her in what seems like forever.

So we sat and talked.  She had just returned from her honeymoon a few days ago, so I got to hear all her stories about their trip and about her perspective on her own wedding.  It's really fun to talk about all that stuff with a girl friend.  We walked to the grocery store for some last minute food items and headed back home where we enjoyed a little popcorn snack while cooling off in the back yard.  The walk made us warmer then we thought it would so being outside was awesome.

We then went to the park that is close to my parents home and sat on a hill and talked further.  I really miss having my friends to talk with.  There is nothing like great friends who you can talk about anything with.  While at the park, we saw off in the distance, a little dog walking behind it's owners.  And then we saw a rabbit come out and take off.  The dog was in hot pursuit and never did catch up with that rabbit but it was entertaining to watch.

We then enjoyed some dinner with my parents.  We had to eat and run as we were on our way to a wedding shower for my best friend and cousin.  We had to go early to help set up the place.  It was a surprise shower and it turned out really fun.  Lots of people came out in support and that was really nice to see.  There was good conversation, silly shower games and lots of laughs.  It was really fun.

When we got home, I called Tyler.  I always miss hearing his voice so it's always nice to phone him up.  We exchanged how our days were and all the fun things we did.  Apparently it poured all day today which is why I'm writing the blog.  The internet might not work for a while as there is a huge storm rolling through the area.  I miss laughing with him and just being with him.  It's nice to have plans for the rest of this week as it will make it go quicker and therefore, the wedding day will be here sooner and that will be so much fun, and then I will be on my way home again.

Monday

Hmm, well, today wasn't too exciting for me.  I did get to sleep in which is something that I haven't been able to do the last few weeks.  For some reason, I just don't sleep that long here.  Maybe it has something to do with the quality of bed and how ours back in Bella Bella really is the worst thing to sleep on.

I got out of bed and ate some breakfast.  I'm really enjoying raspberry jam with toast these days.  I read the news paper and then came down stairs to play on the computer.  After a few minutes, I picked up my cross stitching project and turned on the tv and spent some time getting this project done.  I thought it would have been done by now, but I've really slacked off since being home.

I played the piano for a while this afternoon and rode on the exercise bike.  I get pretty bored here by myself all day.  And since this isn't really my home any more, it's tough to come up with new things to do.

Dad came home and left right away to do the grocery shopping.  Once he was home for good, I joined him upstairs for pleasent conversation while he prepared din din and I did a sodoku puzzle.

Once mom came home, we sat down for a roast chicken salad which was really good.  After din din, I called Tyler and found out he had an equally boring day.  It's hard to maintain a long conversation when both our days are uneventful.

Our neighbour just stopped over for a while and we heard all about their recent trip to Italy.

Nothing much planned now for the rest of the evening.  I think Dancing with the Stars is on so mom is probably watching that right now.

I'm a little hungry so I will be rooting through the kitchen finding something to tide me over till tomorrow morning.

Weird Weather

I woke up this morning on my own at 8:30 and lumbered out of bed.  There wasn't very much on my agenda to do today.  I went out and did some studying.  I ended up studying until about 12 and then it was time to get something to eat.  I was going to make pizza today for lunch and supper.  I'm not sure why I decided I would make pizza, because Sonja isn't here and I have no luck when I try to make it myself.  But I tried anyway.  It didn't start out very good and I should have taken that as a sign to not try any more.  After getting ready it turned out that I didn't have any yeast to make the dough.  So I went out in the rain to the store and bought some yeast so I could continue my quest for pizza.

I came back and started to make the dough.  It went alright except that the dough didn't rise at all.  As far as I could tell I did it exactly as I should have, so I'm not sure what went wrong.  I put the pizza together and threw it in the oven.  It still didn't rise.  The toppings ended up tasting good, but the crust was a flop.  It needed Sonja's touch.

The weather today was really weird.  It was super windy this morning and raining and as the day wore on, the wind died down and the rain picked up.  It was coming down so hard I couldn't see across the channel.  It was the hardest its rained here in a long time.  Then as suddenly as it started it died off and the sun was trying to come out.  It then turned again and started to pour for a while.  The day went back and forth like that for most of the day.  It has gone back to raining again.

Other than studying I haven't done to much except watch TV and make that pizza.  Not much plan for the rest of the night.  It is my last night on call again for a week which will be nice.

2 Weeks

Well, 2 weeks tomorrow I get to see my husband again.  I miss him so much.  But, also in 2 weeks, my best friend and cousin gets married and weddings are always so much fun.  I can't wait.  The problem is that there is still 2 weeks separating me from that amazing weekend.  I don't wish the time away because I do really love being home and being with family and being able to hang out with people who don't like in Bella Bella, but that weekend will be glorious.

But as for today, it was pretty busy with little tasks that didn't really need to get done but we chose to do them any way.  We went to walmart for a few things and then my mom and I spent the remainder of the morning and afternoon in the kitchen just talking and having fun.  They had to leave for a wedding so I was alone for a total of about half an hour before Eva came for a visit.

It was really great to see her again.  I haven't seen her that often since coming home, what with her having a job and living moderately far away so it was really great to get to hang out and chat again.  We talked about a lot of things for a long time.  We were both so exhausted by the time she left.  We could have easily fallen asleep if we both didn't have plans for after she left.

So, she left and I called my wonderful husband who had an equally uneventful day.  He did get to go fishing down at Old Town but didn't catch anything worth keeping.  It was and always is really great to talk with him.  I love you babe.  Can't wait to see you again :)

I have to do laundry but now it's getting kind of late to worry about that, so that is now scratched off my night time to do list.  I have to clean up the kitchen and finish working on something.  I'm pretty tired and really should just go to bed, but it's still early and I'm hungry so I'll probably just find something to eat and lay down on the couch for a while.

Tomorrow is looking like a great day so I'm looking forward to that.

Baby Jarrett has been moving around a little more every day and it's pretty cool to feel that.  Baby likes to move right when I wake up, around 5pm and right before I go to sleep.  I like to read out loud to Baby J and I guess he likes the book I'm reading.

This morning started way to early.  I was woken up by the cat jumping up onto the bed and onto my face at  4:16.  It was kind of irritating.  She then continued trying to get comfortable on my pillow and seemed to be continuously in my face.  She started to settle down and let me try to get to sleep at 4:40.  Then before I knew it the call phone was ringing.  So at 4:45 I was off to work.  I had some blood work and an xray to do.  I didn't get to come home again until 5:45.  By the time I got back to sleep it was well after 6, meaning I had less than an hour to get some more sleep.  I finally was able to doze of and the alarm went off.  Back to work.

Fortunately it was a steady day today so I wasn't able to think about how tired I was or was going to be.  The day wasn't anything special.  I just went about my job as usual.  I missed my second coffee break so I was able to leave just before 4, which was nice.  I came home a studied a bit before calling Sonja.  We talk for about 40 minutes before we were both caught up on each others days and had nothing more to say.  After talking I had some supper which consisted of leftover hamburger helper and garlic bread.  Yup, I'm eating well by myself.

Since supper I have just been watching TV and trying to stay awake.  I will be going to bed very shortly and will be trying to sleep in tomorrow.  I don't have any plans for the weekend, except to take the car out for a drive.  It's been a while since it's gone anywhere, and since I don't need to push start it anymore it will be easy to go.

I think I just made a new world record for games lost playing solitare.  I didn't win a single game and yet played for about 45 minutes.  That's just silly.

My day started out too early and I'm paying the price for that now.  I'm so tired and didn't do too much.  I woke up and ate some breakfast while reading the news paper.  I then went downstairs, watched some tv while riding on the bike, and took a shower.  I came upstairs and started working on my cross stitch project for about an hour.

Then Amy and Madison came over.  I had another doctors appointment that I needed a ride to and Amy is nice enough to actually take me.  So, we ate some lunch together and eventually went to the appointment.  And I am happy to say that everything with our baby is perfectly healthy.  It's so nice to hear the doctor say that.  The ultrasound results came back normal and we have nothing to worry about.  It's so reassuring because I don't actually know what's going on with this little baby so to get news that it's growing exactly the way it's suppose to is really awesome.  Plus, I got to hear it's little heartbeating again.  What a magical moment that always is.

Once back home, Amy and I had more conversation before they had to take off back home again.  I waited for mom to come home and we were off to Ikea shortly after she walked through the door.  I love Ikea and I can see spending lots of money there when we have a place to furnish.  And there is lots of cute baby stuff there.

We visited my Mormor for a while, enjoying tea, cinnimon buns and of course, the company.  We were planning on stopping by Michaels for some thread but I lost the list I had made, so that trip would have been pointless.

On our way home, I saw a sign for a garage sale so I'll probably stop by there tomorrow as I have nothing planned.  No guests are coming over and I really have nothing to do.  I hope to find books and possibly some baby toys.  We will see what happens.  Garage sales are always so sketchy, as people are just trying to get rid of their junk most of the time.

I enjoyed my day and now I must go find something to eat.  We had hot dogs at Ikea and I was surprised to find that the price has been increased since I was there last.  Now, hot dogs are 75 cents.  I know that's still cheap but come on.

Happy mini Friday.

Today I was woken up by the cat mistaking me for Sonja and someone who will tolerate her walking and laying on them.  I quickly discouraged her and she went off to sleep with by herself again.  I really didn't get fully back to sleep after that, which was to bad.  I woke up and it was off to work.  I was busy for most of the morning.  By lunch though I was all caught up on everything and I went to go get something to eat.  I had a sandwich and banana and relaxed before going back to finish the day.  The afternoon I managed to keep myself busy and before I knew it, it was time to come home.

I came home and made myself some supper.  I had bacon cheese burgers and some fries.  It was probably the best burger I have had in a long time.  After I was done supper I started to study.  It is that time again and I gained access to my new courses on Monday.  It is tough to get into the mindset of school after a vacation, which is why I didn't really start until today.  So I studied until 7 and got quite a bit done for my first day.

Sonja called just after 7 and we talked for a bit.  We both caught each other up on our days.  No plans for the rest of the night.  Just relaxing and watching TV before going to bed.

20 Weeks

It's been a tough past few days for only one reason:  Tyler is not with me and that makes me so sad.  Sunday night was a rough night, as I cried a lot and just couldn't stop crying.  I don't like spending time away from my husband and we are only at the beginning of our time apart.  Good thing he made me laugh a lot while we were spending time together.

Monday was a good and bad day.  Bad because we dropped Tyler off at the airport really early in the morning and I had to spend the whole day without him.  It was a good day because I had an ultrasound and got to see our little baby again.  What a miracle!  I can't stop looking at the picture we got because it's so fasinating how there is a little person growing inside of me.  It was also strange because I am now due one week earlier then we first thought, so I am half way through this pregnancy already.  It just blows my mind.  So, I got to hang out with my sisters for most of the day which is always fun.  While at the ultrasound, the tech was having problems getting baby to move so she could get all the pictures she needed.  She was doing everything to get it to change positions but Baby J wouldn't budge.  With it's feet up by it's ears and it's arms crossed on it's chest, the tech was getting upset with Baby.  It was funny to me.  Amy said that basically Baby was sleeping like an old man with it's legs behind his head.  It made me laugh and still does.

Any way, today wasn't a spectacular day at all.  I woke up and got out of bed.  I had some cereal for breakfast and went downstairs to start my day.  After brushing my teeth, I went on the computer for a short time and then went to ride the exercise bike in front of the tv.  I decided since I have so much free time during the days, there is no reason not to get some exercise.  I watched a tv show about babies being born and stuff, and it just made me so excited about our little bundle.  I'm so excited to meet this child.

After I was done with that, I showered and ate some lunch.  I started working on my cross stitch project for most of the afternoon but it doesn't look like I did anything.  This project is kind of a huge pain in the butt and I can't wait for it to be done.

Mom came home and we had some salad for dinner.  It was good, but I'm hungry again right now.  After we cleaned up, we sat around, talking and decided to go for a walk around the lake.  It was chilly outside.  Not what I was expecting at all.

We just finished having some more conversation and now I am blogging.  I have talked with Tyler today as well which was a highlight even though it wasn't too long of a conversation.  I can't wait to see him again :)

I'll probably make some popcorn right after I'm done on the computer and mom and I will watch some tv to round out the night.  A show is on that mom has been watching for a while so she can't miss an episode because it's the final 4 and it should be interesting.

Baby J says hi to you all.

Tyler, I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you again.  Have a fun night tonight and laugh lots!!!

Travel Home

This morning was an early one.  It was up at 6 and time to get ready for my trip west.  After some last minute checks, making sure everything was in order, rifles unloaded and locked and everything was packed.  Then it was off to the airport for my flight.  It was pretty busy there this morning.  Seemed like everyone was traveling after the weekend.  It took me 50 minutes to get checked in and through security.  Usually it is only 15-20 minutes to get to the other side.  I was waiting in line at Tim Horton's to get some breakfast and a last taste of civilization until December.  While I was waiting I saw two of my instructors from NAIT.  It was kind of weird seeing people you know in the airport.  They didn't recognize me, so I continued on my way.

The flight to Vancouver was uneventful.  I collected my luggage and made my way to the shuttle to get to the Pacific Coastal terminal.  There was a fog warning in Port Hardy so my flight to Bella Bella was delayed.  It was boarded and ready to take off only a few minutes late.  It too was uneventful after we finally left Vancouver.  I got back into Bella Bella around 1 and came back into town.  After getting into town I dropped off my stuff and went to pick up my new battery for my car.  I quickly changed it and my car fired right up.  So I am glad that it was just a dead, unchargeable battery and not something worse like the starter being shot or something worse.

I came back inside and started to unpack.  After that was done, I went to pay the internet bill and went to get some groceries so I can eat tonight and the rest of the week.  Around 5 I went up to pick up our cat from the cat sitters.  She ran around for a bit and meow a lot before finally settling down.

Back at home though Sonja stayed and will be there until October 2.  But today she had an ultrasound appointment to check on our little baby.  She is 20 weeks tomorrow, moving the babies arrival to the end of January.  The picture wasn't the greatest, but I will try to get one from the doctor that we had done before we came home in August.  If I can get one, I will put it up.  The ones that were taken then were much clearer, and therefore much cuter.

Baby at 20 weeks.
