Last night, we went to bed at around 10.  We were both pretty tired.  After talking for a few minutes, we turned out the light and went to sleep.  A while later, I looked up at the lamp that hangs from our roof and there was a giant flying ant crawling on it.  It was so gross and creepy and I shot to the end of the bed, shaking Tyler’s legs for him to wake up too.  He was a little groggy as he had pretty much fallen asleep but he turned the light on to see what I was so scared of.  And there was nothing.  Nothing was crawling anywhere and I felt a little foolish.  It obviously was a dream, the kind you get when you aren’t awake but aren’t fully asleep yet either, but it seemed so real.  My fear was real, that’s for sure.  I had done that about a year ago too.  I turned the lights on in the middle of the night because I thought I saw bugs crawling on the wall.  That turned out to be the light streaming through the blinds and since there was breeze that night, the lights were flickering, making it seem like they were crawling.  Any way, Tyler didn’t really appreciate me waking him up and I felt bad too.  Unfortunately I can’t control what I think is real and what I dream sometimes.
I didn’t get a restful sleep after that.  I woke up a little while later and I was so hungry.  I got out of bed and ate half a banana.  I figured that would tie me over until this morning.  It didn’t.  I woke up again at around 5 and I felt so hungry again.  Plus Kitten was making noise in the living room so I had to inspect what she was up to.  She was chasing moths at our window and although it was pretty cute, I didn’t like being woken up.  After that, I didn’t get back to sleep.  I’m not sure why but I lay mostly awake until Tyler’s alarm went off this morning at 6:45am.
Even after Tyler went into the shower, I was awake.  I thought that maybe my tiredness had subsided and I would finally have energy again.  I got out of bed for a drink of water but headed back because I knew I was actually still tired even though I didn’t feel it.
And soon I drifted off into glorious sleep.  It felt great to be so comfortable and be able to use all the pillows all to myself.  When I woke up again, I thought I didn’t sleep for that long.  It felt like I had just dozed for a little while.  I looked over at the clock and it was blank.  And then I remembered Tyler saying there would be a power outage today from 9 till 3.  Once I got out of bed, I was 10:45, the same time I usually wake up in the morning.
After eating breakfast, I headed out for a walk.  It was a beautiful day today, with the sun shining and hardly any clouds in the sky.  And it was hot!  I walked around town and then got way to warm so I headed back home.
Tyler came home for lunch and we enjoyed some time together. After he left again, the power came on again so I was able to keep myself occupied all afternoon.  I worked out while watching Dexter and did the dishes and went to the store for some last minute list items.  I bought myself some gobstoppers because those were calling to me.

The rest of the afternoon was spent playing with Kitty.  She has had her cone off for most of the day and only did minimal damage to her face.  There is a feather that she loves to play with but when she is coned, she runs up to it but then can’t find it.  But today, she was stalking it and throwing it up in the air and just being a real cat for once.  It was nice to see her like that.  I also found her sleeping in my clothes drawer.  What a sweetie.  I’m excited to bring her home at Christmas.  I think being home will allow her to heal fully and she can see her grandparents again.  I know my mom and dad are excited to see her again J
Our evening will be spent cross stitching and Tyler is working on his assignment for school.  It’s going to be early to bed because we are both pretty tired.  It will be a pretty good night of relaxing.
