Well today was the day that we have been waiting for. Our home made long weekend. It was a busy day for me in the morning which was nice and made the morning go by allot quicker. Soon enough it was lunch and only half a day more until the weekend. The afternoon wasn't so busy, but it still went by pretty quickly which was nice.
I came home from work and played a little bit of NHL 2K11. When Sonja came home I made some supper. We had Hamburger Helper spicy enchilada. It was a nice easy meal, with no leftovers which was part of the plan. Now our fridge is mostly emptied. After supper it was time to clean up before our trip. Sonja started with the dishes and I vacuumed, took out the recycling, folded some clothes and started a fresh load of laundry so we don't need to do it when we get home on Sunday.
After I was all done I helped Sonja finish up the dishes. We finished them up and then it was time for me to cut my hair. Gotta look good if I'm gonna be on TV. We are hoping to be on Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday. I think it might happen as we will be the visitors supporters and there won't be too many of us.
No plans for the rest of the night. Fold the clothes that are drying and pack for our weekend. Maybe we will watch a movie before going to bed.

Finally recovered...
Well, I believe that today I'm finally recovered from my Sunday morning guard shift. I really didn't get a good sleep and that destroyed the first few days of this week for me. But today was different.
Yesterday, I had a meeting with my boss and co-worker and we discussed what I can take responsibility for. They gave me a lot more work to do, and that's me so happy. I no longer have to sit there bored to tears. I'm pretty excited to have this increased work load because it shows that my boss knows I can handle it. It's a really nice feeling being trusts like that. My only problem is that I'm not trained at all and that scares me. I don't like that they are counting on me to do all this work and yet, I really have no idea what I'm doing past what my co-worker tells me. I'm sure it's not too hard... we will see how I do next week.
But today, was a pretty awesome day. I was pretty busy all day long. I wasn't doing any real significant work, just moving files, making new files... little things that no one does because everyone is too busy to be doing it. Those are the types of jobs I'm in charge of. It passes the time for me, which is all I care about. I can switch files around all day long as long as I'm getting through the day.
I worked out after work today, which felt pretty good. I came home to make pancakes for supper. We had to eat them at some point this week before we go and it's been to tough getting motivated to make a real supper all week, we had leftover pancakes. Tyler's turned out nice and cooked but mine were a sad mass. They kind of cooked but mostly they stayed slimy on the inside. I had a kiwi to chase it down with.
After din din, I convinced Tyler to play DDR with me. It's one of my favorite games in the world to play. After a little complaining on Tyler's end, I got him set up on his mat and we started playing. After a little while, Tyler got a feel for it and he started doing really good. We played for about 45 minutes. Now Tyler is playing his NHL game and I'm typing this out.
One more day of work for us. I am so excited for this weekend, getting off the island and being in a bigger place. It will probably drive me crazy after a while, seeing how I'm use to the slow quiet life of Bella Bella. But it will be awesome to buy new clothes and see the Oilers in person. I was being mocked at work today for being an Oilers fan. They told me that they should take my fingerprints so that if something happens to us at the arena, they will be able to tell who I am... they were joking but it went on for about 10 minutes of them saying we are going to get made fun of and have things thrown at us. I hope not!

Spring showers
Today I woke up with the bed to myself again. Apparently I fell asleep before Sonja and was keeping her awake, so she went to sleep on the cat's bed. Turns out the cat was more annoying than me. This was after we went to bed early so Sonja could try catching up on her lost sleep from the weekend.
The morning was more of the same as it has been the last while. Get up, shower and eat breakfast. It was raining this morning, so that was a bit of a difference from the sun we got last week. We saw three otters swimming in the bay while we were eating breakfast. I tried to get a picture through the window, but had the flash on so I didn't get anything good.
I went into work and wasn't too busy most of the day. However I was too busy to get too much studying done. That means that I had to do some tonight after work. I have an assignment due on Saturday, which means it's actually due on Thursday since we won't be around for me to fax it in on the weekend.
After work I went to pay the internet bill and came home to start making supper. We forgot to take chicken out to thaw so I took some and defrosted it in the microwave. We had chili chicken and pasta. It was simple, quick and good. After supper I started to study right away so I would be done in time to watch the Oilers game.
The game has been pretty slow. I hope they get all of their crappy hockey between now and Saturday so we can watch a win that night. It started out with the Oilers getting out shot in the first and kinda playing better in the second, but they are down 2-0 with the last minute and a half in the third.
We don't have any plans for the rest of the night. Finish the game and eventually go to bed.

Fuzzy vision
For most of the day, I couldn't see or walk straight. No, it wasn't because we partied a little too hard for Tyler's birthday but because I am just so tired. I don't even remember the last time I was this tired and I'm not a huge fan of it.
I wasn't tired this morning though, but I didn't spring out of bed either. I groaned as I was welcomed to the new day by the alarm clock. Morning came too early. I hoped a shower would help me to wake up and it did, a little. A short walk to the office sent a refreshing breeze across my face and I thought that it was going to be a good day.
Work was my nemesis and I feel as though I've been beaten all day by it. It was hard to keep my eyes open and focus on anything. And it wasn't even busy today. Boredom and tiredness teamed up as an unstoppable force, willing me to slump over at my desk and take one long cat nap. My head was heavy and my eyes probably were glazed over. I warned my boss that if it looked like I was dragging my feet all day, it was because I was up against a powerful enemy and I was losing.
I did have a few tricks up my sleeve on how to defeat this beast. I stood up most of the day, trying to keep the blood flowing and the brain sharp. I'm thinking now that standing probably took more energy then just sitting there. Amy suggested butt clenches and push ups. I was thinking of drinking something with a high sugar content to give me a jolt but that thought came at a time when the lunch room was occupied by some sort of police interview. And when the brain was as slow as mine was today, thoughts don't reoccur with the same luster and I ended up drinking a lot of water.
It took all my power to keep my head from flopping over and soon, I defeated the monster and was able to come home, only to face another battle. All I wanted to do was sleep. I even got into my pj's and got under the covers. Tyler said that I'm not allowed to keep him awake when I can't sleep later if I take a nap now. I contemplated taking a nap, knowing full well the consequences wouldn't be pretty. I got out of bed and Tyler started supper.
It was chicken curry. And I had only taken out a few small pieces of chicken at lunch time to thaw out, so supper was a little sparse. Whenever we make this for dinner, Tyler teases me about the time I mixed up the recipe and added chili powder instead of curry powder. It makes me smile.
I'm sending this blog away early because I'm afraid that if I wait any longer, sleep will get the better of me and you wouldn't have a blog to read this evening.
It's a short week for us and I'm so excited to be heading off this island this weekend. Even one weekend away will recharge my batteries and I can make it till summer, when we plan on leaving again.
Our plans for this evening include not running into walls and furniture (typical signs of sleep deprivation), and going to bed early (to get a leg up on tomorrow's monster). Tyler is studying right now and Kitty is sleeping on the back of the couch.
It's been a day. I have battle scars and I can't see straight. But at least I'm home with my husband and I can surrender to sleep any minute...

Busy Afternoon
Last night I had the bed all to myself. Normally when Sonja isn't there it takes me a while to get to sleep. Last night I was lucky and really tired so I fell asleep really quickly. I was right asleep from midnight when Sonja went into work until after 6 when I needed to get up to go to the bathroom. The cat even came in during that time and I didn't even hear her. I didn't really get fully back to sleep after the bathroom. At 8 Sonja came home and I stayed in bed until she was fully asleep. I got out of bed at twenty after 8 and studied.
I studied until Sonja wanted me to wake her up. She didn't want to sleep all day so she'll be able to sleep tonight. I woke her up just before noon, as she was supposed to call her friend at 12. I went to the store then in an attempt to get the missing cream cheese. There was none out yet so I came home dejected and was about to start doing our mountain of dishes when my work phone rang. So I went off to work.
I was there for about an hour and then came back home. We started the dishes and finished them all up. While we were doing them we noticed a huge eagle fest at the end of the spit. There we probably 50 eagles eating something and hovering and circling above. We watched them and threw some leftover fish out in an attempt to lure them closer for some pictures. But what they were eating was apparently more interesting.
We finished up the dishes and tried the store again. This time we were successful and finally got the cream cheese. We came home and Sonja started to make my birthday cake. I was called into work again. So I went and did what I needed to do.
I came home to find Sonja putting the finishing touches on the cheese cake. It look like the best birthday cake ever. We put it in the fridge to chill and it was time to relax for a bit. But then we realized that it was going to be supper time soon. So I started to make some schwarties casserole and got it in the oven. I had just sat down, when again my work phone rang. So again it was off to work for me.
I came home at long last and ate my supper and was finally able to enjoy my birthday cake. It was super tasty and well worth the wait.
All together today I was called into work 4 times from 12 till 7. That is a record for call backs in one day for me. It was busy but made up for not getting called yesterday and the whole last week I was on call.
Tonight is going to be a good sleep for me.

Birthday Boy!!
Happy birthday to the love of my life!! Today, Tyler turned 23 years old. I’m glad we are the same again. Tyler has been teasing me since I turned 23 because I was older then him for that month and a half. What a turkey! But I love that turkey and today we celebrated by doing all the things Tyler loves doing.
We started by trying to sleep in. We did the best we could but I know we were both awake before 8. We laid there until about 9 when we finally had enough.
Tyler requested special pancakes for breakfast. Special pancakes are regular pancakes with chocolate chips in them. I washed the fry pan and started mixing the batter. I had all the dry ingredients ready to go when Tyler mentioned, “Hey, don’t you need milk for that?” I was sad that I didn’t even think about that. Tyler quickly threw together our food menu and we headed out to the store.
We got there and proceeded to put our food into the cart. I’m pretty sure we bought more stuff then what was on our list too. Since it’s Tyler birthday, he got whatever he wanted, which includes a hockey magazine that highlighted the Oilers, and he also wanted some M&M’s. And that will be the last time we buy those because they were pretty expensive for being a little bag of tasty candy. We also bought 10 bags of bread in a box for pretty cheap. It was another exciting trip to the grocery store.
We got home and I finished making the special birthday pancakes for my special birthday husband. They turned out really awesome. Usually my pancakes are runny and really thin, like dollar pancakes but today’s batch was just perfect. The perfect amount of lumps made the perfect tasting pancakes.
I have been a little disappointed in myself since last night. I had a big surprise for Tyler for his birthday. He didn’t know it, but I had emailed his mom to get his most favorite cake recipe at the beginning of the week. I didn’t want to tell him about it because surprises are so much better then knowing what your cake is going to be. Any way, his favorite cake is something his mom is famous for making - strawberry cheese cake. It’s so so oh so good. On Tuesday after work, I went to the store to get all the ingredients for this tasty cake. And here is the embarrassing part - I forgot to buy cream cheese. For the strawberry cheese cake recipe, I forgot the ingredient that makes it a cheese cake. It’s just so silly to forget that. I told Tyler about the surprise last night and that’s when I realized I didn’t have it all. It would have been fine if the store was restocked today, but it wasn’t.... So, poor Tyler, didn’t even get a birthday cake on his birthday. And the store doesn’t open until noon tomorrow so it will be a little while before I can make it for him.
I just felt like the worst wife ever. But Tyler made me feel better by teasing me about it... like I say, he’s a turkey :)
This afternoon was spent doing all the things Tyler loves doing. He read his hockey magazine so I decided to play some DDR. I love that game. And I love Tyler, so I let him do his thing.
Tyler played his new hockey game on the wii that he got from his parents. And he just loves that game. That’s what he did pretty much all day. I did a bit of cross stitching. It was a really good day. I made sure Tyler didn’t do anything he didn’t want to do because you should only do things you want to do on your birthday.
The weather was alright today. It wasn’t super warm outside but it wasn’t freezing. There was a really awesome rainbow outside our place. We actually saw the end of it because it went right into the ocean outside our house. It was a pretty spectacular rainbow too, with all the colors and then some.
And our evening has been really good too. We are watching the Oiler game right now and it’s been a good game. Tyler intends on playing more hockey after the real game is over.
My night doesn’t end soon at all. I was called in to guard tonight. I was asked to be the guard supervisor as the current one is moving out of the province. I thought it would just be filling out a bit of paper work but nope, I have to cover when no one else wants to guard. And it kind of sucks because I have a full time job and a lot of other guards don’t. It doesn’t make much sense how every one of the other 12 people who could guard, don’t. I can’t even say no. I’m already regretting saying yes to that. It’s going to be a very long night for me.
I just got off the phone with my mom. It’s always great to talk with family. Tyler knows all about that today. He’s been getting birthday wishes all day from friends and family.
It’s been a good day, minus the Oiler blowing a lead and now playing in OT. Oh well, it’s not the end of the world.
Happy birthday Tyler. I love you so much. It’s been a great day and I hope to have another fantastic year with you.

Slowed down
Today started with the sun shining and the temperature rising. I went off to work to finish off the week. It was finally Friday, the well deserved end of the week.
I went to work and it was a much slower day than the last couple days had been. I wasn't running around busy at all today. I was able to get my coffee breaks in, it had slowed down that much. The last couple days have been too busy to get a real coffee break in. Or the break room was busy and I wasn't able to go there.
Sonja had another relaxing day. She got to go to Klemtu with two of the officers. They took the boat up and spent the tire day there. She didn't get home until almost seven. I had supper ready when she walked through the door. We had classy chicken and it was good. It was a late meal but was worth the wait.
After supper we went for a walk around the town until the sun went down. It was a nice walk around. We just got back and now I am blogging.
No plans for the rest of the night. Probably go to bed early because Sonja is tired.

Interesting day!
I actually have some stuff to talk about today and I hope it's not as boring as the previous posts have been from me.
I've been feeling pretty lonely lately, and it started to get a little pathetic. I just miss family and friends and just the way things were. It's hard being this far away from everyone I've ever known. But today was a good day to change all that around.
I didn't have to peel myself out of bed this morning. It was nice to be able to get up and feel some what rested. After the daily shower and bowl of cereal, I was off to work. I kind of dreaded going in today. I've been having a bad attitude with that lately. It seems like when one thing kind of bugs me, it just snow balls after that. Just having to deal with annoying people after I'm already annoyed is not the greatest way to spend a day.
Today was different though. I wasn't in such a bad mood to begin with so the day started on a high note. I got to work and did my daily tasks. At around 9:20ish, my coworker asks if I want to take a coffee break. So we went and we sat and one of the officers also joined us. It was good to sit and talk again. We haven't done that in a long time and that might have something to do with why I was getting easily irritated. We sat there and we talked and talked. And then we sat some more. It really seemed like everyone had my same attitude for the day - we didn't really want to do any work. It was quiet with no phone calls and no one coming to the front counter.
We eventually got back to work when it was decided we would be heading off to Shearwater for some lunch. I was excited because I didn't really want to make myself something. We would leave right after the officer installed a second computer screen for me and my co-worker. I now have 2 screens and still the same amount of work. It's a little silly because I don't need 2 screens but it's fun to go back and forth between them because they aren't the same size. It's fun to see where the mouse will pop up.
As we were leaving, the back seat of the police vehicle we were driving in was dirty so my coworker didn't want to sit back there. So, I sat on her lap. It was pretty scary being that close to the windshield. Any small bump could have been painful but I asked the officer to drive slow enough that it wouldn't hurt so much. As we were driving, we went past a few people who mentioned that how we were wasn't exactly the most legal way to drive. It was kind of fun though.
We got to the wharf where the police boats are held and put on our lifejackets. They are these really funny looking skinny little things that don't look like they'd save anyone. Riding in boats isn't something that I enjoy doing either. I was a little scared. As we were driving, the operator was trying to avoid a bunch of logs that have occupied our channel recently. It was pretty terrifying. He would swerve one way and then the other really quickly. I almost fell out of my seat a few times.
I had a burger for lunch. I wish I didn't because it had mushrooms on it and I was about half way through the burger before I found that out. We enjoyed good conversation as well. It's fun to hang out with people in a different setting then work. I work with some really fun people and it's nice to see that every once in a while.
On our way back to Bella Bella, the officers decided to take their time and we floated for a while in the ocean. They were trying to figure out how to work something electrical on the boat but I was enjoying the sun and the water. It ended up being a much longer lunch then it probably should have but it was good to enjoy such a beautiful day.
Once we got back onto dry land, the guys went back out on the boat while my coworker and I headed back to the office. And I got to drive the police truck back. I felt pretty cool driving that big thing. And I haven't driven in a long time so it was nice to get my vehicle legs back.
Back at the office, not much had happened. And I got sent home early. It was a nice little treat. For showing up on time everyday and doing my work right away, it's nice to get something out of it.
I came home and played a bit of DDR. It was fun but I think that burger made me a little sick as I had a bit of a headache and my stomach was upset. I'm not sure what's up with me lately but I hope I stop feeling so sick all the time.
I thought about making dinner but really didn't feel up to it. Plus what I had planned for the meal, we didn't have all the ingredients for. I'm pretty bad at that. Making the list for the week and then forgetting to put most of the food items on the grocery list. Tyler came home and made himself a burger and some sausage. I had a bit of fruit and some yogurt as I was still full from lunch.
I looked out the window and saw a tree cookie that looked small enough to drag ashore. We went down to the beach after supper and boy was I wrong. It was a massive piece of tree that we wouldn't be able to move with 6 other people. I was a little disappointed about that. We think it would be pretty cool to make a table out of a tree cookie we find out here.
Our evening has been pretty fun. We played some wii games together and now I'm blogging. Tyler is still playing his hunting game. It's kind of violent and I don't really like shooting animals, even video game animals.
It's going to be an early night for me as I'm falling asleep as we speak.
It's been so so so nice outside. I really think there should be a rule that says no one has to work when the day is so beautiful and sunny. It's just a waste to spend it inside working.
Friday is looking so good right now. And I can't wait till next week. A little vacation time with my husband will be so awesome. And I'm also excited about Tyler's 23 birthday on Saturday. I'm excited mostly because when he turns the same age as me, he can no longer call me old. He thinks it's so funny that I'm a month and a bit older then him and he just has to rub it in my face. What a guy!

Busy time
Today started out the same as every other day. Slept in till 7:45, got up had breakfast, and went to work. After getting to work I had a few things to do to start the day. Then came the twist. Half of Klemtu came today on the seabus. So because of this I was busy running doing xrays from 9:45 till 12:15. I had to do 10 different people so I was ridiculously busy. But I got everyone done and on there way. Then it was lunch time and I came home for a sandwich. It was tasty and definitely needed.
The afternoon I went back to work expecting it to be slow and I could do some studying. Wrong again. It was still busy after lunch. Not as much as before, but I wasn't able to get any studying done. Eventually though the busy day was over and I was able to come home.
I got home and threw some chicken burgers in the oven for supper. No sooner than I did that than my phone rang. It was work and I was back at it. I was at the hospital for another hour and fifteen minutes.
I came home again exhausted and ready to eat. I reheated my chicken burgers and ate them. I had to do my homework yet so I did that while Sonja did some dishes. I finished up my assignment and faxed it off. I came home and folded laundry from the weekend and then relaxed on the couch.
We watched Modern Family and are probably going to be heading to bed pretty shortly.

Orcas
Hmm, how to make this day sound more interesting that it has been... It will be a challenge but I'm up for it.
Do you know what's more annoying then waking up a few minutes before the alarm goes off? Getting woken up by your husband 5 minutes before the alarm goes off. Not the ideal start to any Tuesday. Losing 5 minutes of sleep right at the end is heartbreaking. I have missed it all day long.
I had the most tasty bowl of multigrain cheerios for breakfast. I think those are my favorite breakfast cereal. They just taste so darn good.
I headed off to work, fully expecting to be bored out of my tree. For the most part, I was right to expect that. The very morning was pretty dull, but it soon kind of picked up. I got a few statements in the mail from another community so I did that all afternoon. It was nice to have work. The only thing is that I have a mountain of work waiting for me again tomorrow. I get to file away 2 years worth of prisoner papers. It will be frustrating and I'm not going to enjoy it, but at least I will be up on my feet for that part of the day. Also, tomorrow I get to fix my co-worker's mistake. Not really looking forward to that.
I came home and started on dinner. I made some sort of spaghetti dish that had chicken and bacon and sauce in it. I could tell right away that Tyler wasn't too impressed with it. I really liked it and since Tyler didn't eat his usual heaping plate full of food, I get some lunch for tomorrow. That makes me happy.
Tyler and I were in the middle of our dinner time conversation when he starts shouting, "WHALES! WHALES!!!" We raced outside to see a pod of about 6 orcas, there may have been more. They were swimming really close to the coast guard. They were just so cool! It's been a long while since we've seen anything that cool. We were out on the deck, watching them swim farther away from us. I texted our friend to come and watch with us. It was a beautiful thing to watch.
We drove to the ferry, the direction they were swimming. And we waited for them to come past. I think we got some good pictures, Tyler was in charge of the camera. I think we may have some video of it. It was just amazing. The way the sun was shining and they just kept spouting and it was so cool. It made me want to stay out here for a lot longer. This whole day, I've been feeling like I really just want to get out of here. It's so small and I didn't think I could go on much longer. And then those orcas swam past. My hope was renewed.
We got back home and lounged around the house, talking about our day and just spending time together. It's been a nice evening.
And I'm pretty tired so it's off to bed for me quickly.

Today started out another week. There wasn't anything exciting early in the morning except that the sun was out and shining and was the beginning of another spring like day. I'm sorry and I know everyone is coping with the fresh spring snow fall at home, but it is always nice when its not raining here, so I just have to mention it. I started the morning at work with the usual seeing if there was anything to do xray wise. There wasn't. We are trying to organize and clean the lab so things flow a little bit better, so I kinda took charge of that a bit and made some room in our storage room so we could move some things over. After there was room made I emptied some cupboards and filled them with things that were just sitting on the floor unorganized. Altogether this probably took about an hour and before I knew it it was coffee time.
After coffee I was able to study a little bit until lunch. It is always nice to study at work as there is less to do at home.
I came home at lunch and had two chicken burgers and also had a surprise for Sonja. Her birthday present is finally done and it was dropped off at the hospital today. So I brought it home and showed it to her. We will put pictures up sometime when our internet is working better. But I think that it turned out really great and it looks awesome.
The afternoon was kind of slow. I did some more studying and slowly the day wore on until the point that I was able to come home. I threw some chicken strips and fries into the oven and turned on the latest episode of Oil Change. Sonja wasn't home yet because she had some sort of guarding meeting and didn't get home until just before 6. Just in time for supper.
We ate and then decided to take a short walk. We got side tracked as I needed to talk to me boss for a minute. We ended up talking to her and her husband for an hour. We came home and played Wii for a bit and Sonja just went to bed to read. So with that I leave you for the night.
Also happy birthday Grandma Rosenkranz. It would have been her 74th.

NOOOO!
I'm so upset. The weekend just started and now it's all over. And I have to go back to work tomorrow. Why oh why are the weekends so short. It just doesn't make much sense that we work 5 days to get 2 off. I always have such a great time on the weekend, mostly because on the weekend I don't have to deal with everyone else's problems.
Today started out with not sleeping in, which was so sad. The weekends are for sleeping in, not for waking up at the same time as the week day. I was a little upset, I even tried to fight it for a while but then gave up and walked into the living room. Tyler had been up for a bit before me and I think he was studying.
Our day was pretty awesome. The weather decided to be fantastic today. It's definitely turning into spring right now. I don't mean to rub it in to our families, as I understand there was some snow that fell today. But today was a perfect spring day. It was a little cool but since it's been winter for a while, anything above 5 feels awesome. We brought a blanket out onto our deck and laid down to read. There was a little tiny breeze and then it was a little unpleasant, so we came inside again.
We had our friend over for dinner tonight. We served salmon with rice and garlic bread. It didn't all go together too well but it was all super good. We had some great conversation and then played our favorite game, phase 10. I was kicking some butt up until I hit phase 7. And then I didn't move. Tyler came from behind and was soon on phase 10. Kendra did win in the end, but Tyler was so close. He just lost by points.
We are now getting ready to go to bed. I'm pretty tired and I hope to get in a good sleep before another week starts.
Tyler's birthday is next weekend. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to get him when we are out here. I guess the gun he got himself can count as a gift. I don't know and I feel a little bad. I'm sure something will come to me within this week.

Yesterday's blog
Today started as most Saturdays do for me. I woke up earlier than I wanted to, 7:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I got out of bed just after 8. I surfed the internet for a little bit and did some studying while I waited for Sonja to get up. She finally got up around 10 and made the grocery list and menu for the week. Eventually after that was done we went out to pick up the food. We got most of the stuff on our list, but we will have to go tomorrow.
We came home and made some lunch. I had a couple chicken burgers and Sonja made herself a fried rice dish. We ate and I vacuumed and tidied up a bit while Sonja was still eating her meal.
We decided we were going to go for a walk since it was actually nice out, its starting to warm up and it wasn't raining today. So we went to Bachelor Bay, which is north of the airport. It was a good walk. We saw lots of deer tracks which always makes me excited. No wolf or bear tracks which means the deer should be able to thrive on that end of the island anyway. We got there and saw a seal swimming in the bay and tried to get its attention. We stayed there for a few minutes looking around before deciding to come home.
We got home around 4:30 and it was time to start making supper. Again it was pizza night. I think we are addicted to pizza. It was buffalo chicken pizza tonight. It turned out to be the best pizza we have had yet. The rest of the night has been spent watching the Oilers lose to Colorado in the shootout.
It has been a good day. I don't know what the rest of the night looks like. We might watch a movie or go to bed. I don't know right now.

Busy beaver!
I can't believe what a turn around this week has been. Monday through Wednesday was probably the most dull days I have had. I was by myself in the office, waiting for the phone to ring. I literally couldn't figure out what to with myself. And probably the worst past of being alone in the office is the going to the bathroom. I would tell you more about that, but I'm not sure you all are to interested in that part of my days.
Any way, yesterday was the complete opposite of the pervious days. Something pretty big happened Wednesday night so Thursday was filled with lots of statements for me to type. So many, that I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it. And that bugs me. I really hate leaving work to do. It makes me feel like I didn't work hard enough. But in all fairness to myself, I was again all alone. I had to do everything. It was actually pretty frustrating to be in that situation.
With lots of work staring at me this morning, I rolled out of bed with a huge groan. I have been so so so tired this last week. It's been such a long week. We ate our breakfast cereal and headed off to work. I started typing out some more of the needed statements. There was one that was over 2 hours long so that made me pretty excited. A long statement means lots and lots of work for me. And that's pretty much what I did all day long. My co-worked left early so I was left to do all the work again. But one of the police officers I work with said that since I had impressed her by finishing all those statements and had worked hard all week long, I got to go home early too. I was so excited.
I got home and was greeted by my sweet little Kitty. She always wants to play when we get home. I love that Kitty. I played a bit but then noticed the gigantic pile of dishes that had somehow accumulated again. I started the dishes as Tyler came home. He conveniently had a test to do so he didn't have to help me with the dishes. And then he had a steak to cook, so again I was stuck doing all the dishes. After he was done all his work and there was 11 dishes left, Tyler say's, "Oh Son, don't worry about the rest of the dishes. I'll do them tomorrow." How sweet of him to do 11 dishes after I had spent an hour and a half doing the same job :)
The steak was amazing. I miss steak. It's been a while since I've had a really good steak like that. Tyler is the master cook.
Our evening has been exactly what I have needed. We went on a walk and then watched a movie. It seems like that's pretty much all we do, but after a week like I had, it's all I needed. My body aches from this week so I'm looking forward to this weekend.
We don't have any big plans. We are working on a plan for a hike, but the weather is the boss of that. My main focus is sleep and it's going to be awesome.
Off to bed!

3D
Last night was a good night to sleep. The bed seemed kind of comfortable so it was a restful sleep. Also since we took the cats cone off, she was too good for us and didn't bug us all night. We got up at the regular time and got ready for work.
Today I was pretty busy most of the day. Which unfortunately meant I wasn't able to study while at work. Which is really too bad because I have a test tomorrow that I need to do. So that meant I had to study at home tonight. After work I came home and peeled potatoes for supper. It was Sonja's meal to make so she started when she got home. She also had a busy day at work and so for both of us the day went by quickly. And tomorrow is Friday, two weeks till our weekend away.
After supper I loaded up some of my school work and started studying. After it was all loaded we went out to the community hall. There is a furniture store here from Prince Rupert set up so they had tables, chairs, mattresses and couches all set up for sale. I had got a fax yesterday with an entry for a door prize and a free pillow with the flyer. So we both had one and now both got a free pillow. They had some TV's on display. One of them was a 50" 3D TV. It was pretty sweet. I now want one and unfortunately we won't really be able to get it home if we bought one. They had a 3D underwater video playing which was pretty cool to see in 3D. It was like you were actually swimming and seeing it. This TV can also convert normal movies into 3D which I thought was pretty cool. Needless to say, we didn't buy it...yet.
Today I saw an otter swimming out in the marina. I have never seen a otter so it was pretty cool. Sonja saw him later on the spit cracking shells on his stomach. It was pretty cool. Also there was a sea lion swimming by.
The rest of the night was spent studying for me and stitching for Sonja.

Lead Foot strikes!
Hmm, how I crave sleep. It's like it's calling to me but I just can't get there. It's mostly because because we have a new upstairs who we "met" last night. We were able to give her a name pretty much as soon as we knew she was up there. She started with stomping around and I was a little disappointed because the name Stompy was already taken. But as she walked around her place, and as each heavy foot landed on the floor above us, I came up with the best name ever - Lead Foot. It was like a marching band was up there, doing a full routine right above our bed. And then she started slamming drawers. It woke me up and it made for a much shorter sleep then I wanted.
I didn't jump out of bed this morning. It was horrible. I pretended I didn't hear the alarm. I was thinking of pretending to be sick, but that's a little childish. But I was thinking about it.
After a hot shower and a cold breakfast, I was a little more ready for the day. I got to work and completed my daily tasks. And then I was there for the rest of the day. It was a pretty good day even though I didn't do a whole lot.
I worked out after work, which was really nice. I feel like we've been pretty lazy lately and it doesn't help that it's been raining pretty much, but it was great to get moving again. I was tired but I forced myself to do it and I felt better. I got home and Tyler was making tacos for dinner. They were pretty good.
We went for a walk after dinner to search for some sea creatures. We saw a few starfish and a few dogs but nothing to exciting. We got home right before the sky opened up. It poured and poured. And it's been doing all day long.
We put on new kitty caps for Kitten so she is coneless. It's an exciting day for her. She is off somewhere being a free little girl.
We got a package in the mail today from my mom and dad. It had a few paper work type things in it but the important things were licorice for me, cheesies for Tyler and some popcorn spice.
Any way, it's off to bed for me. I'm so tired. I hope Lead Foot is asleep.

Today was only Tuesday. It feels like it should be later in the week already. The morning started out differently. I woke up to find that Sonja wasn't there. She had moved into the other room because i was apparently keeping her awake last night. We both woke up tired as seems to be the usual.
I went to work expecting another busy day like I had yesterday, but I wasn't that lucky. It was dead slow again. I was able to do a little bit of studying though which was nice. After work was done I came home and made supper. Tonight was a delicious meal. I made chicken strips and poutine. It was so good. I wish I made more so I can have some tomorrow for lunch.
After supper we were going to go for a walk, but it was pouring rain, so we decided to stay in and relax. So we watched The Office and didn't do anything exciting.
Sonja is tired again so she is in bed reading and it is bedtime for me soon as well

Today wasn't a very good day for me. On Friday, our detachment had sent out a sick cat that someone had found in their yard. It looked really bad and was so super skinny that you could feel every bone in it's body. It made me sad then but then today, I got an email that said Big Heart Animal Rescue did everything they could to try and save this cat but it wasn't coming back around. They had to put him down. It made me so sad, just the way the the woman said the things she said. I cried when I read it and then it just wouldn't stop. Whenever I would think about it, there came the stupid tears. It gave me a very gigantic headache. The rest of the day was pretty bad mainly because of the headache.
The real day went by very slowly. I was the only office person there but I still got all my assigned tasks done and ended up sitting there. It was a dull day.
Once I got home from work, my headache was so bad I just went to bed. I was hoping that a bit of a nap before supper. Tyler was making something that smelled really great. He had finished it up and got me out of bed. I could barely eat it. Tyler sent me right to bed again. And I slept for 2 hours. Once I woke up, I still wasn't feeling very good. I was tired and my stomach still felt a little upset. I think that was because I didn't eat much tonight.
And now I'm blogging. It's off to bed semi soonish. I hope I can sleep.

Weekend end. Today started out sleeping in which was nice. I haven't been able to sleep in much lately so it felt nice to be able to do that again. I eventually got up, I don't know what time.
Today was just a relaxing day. We didn't need to go to the store for anything, so we just stayed in and watched TV for most of the day. For lunch we cleaned up the pizza we had yesterday. The crust on it ended up being almost 3" thick around the edges. It was crazy and good. We watched The Office most of the day. Eventually it stopped raining and we decided to take a walk around town. We went out to the dump and turned around and were gone for probably close to an hour. It was nice to get some fresh air and for it to be warming up.
We also did some laundry today. So now we have clean clothes again for next week. I'm sorry this post is so short but we didn't do anything all day. I have been on call all week and didn't get a single callback yet. So kinda weird.
We are getting excited to go to Vancouver in a couple weeks. It will be nice to get away, see some new things and just to have things to do for a bit.

Today started out way better then yesterday and that's just great. I don't enjoy tsunami advisories or evacuating or slightly freaking out that early in the morning.
Well, this morning was so awesome. I got to sleep in. I was so tired last night and it just felt so good to lay there and relax. Tyler got out of bed early so I got the whole bed.
Once I rolled out of bed, it was time for breakfast. I had a bit of cereal. Tyler was making the grocery list and I was looking forward to getting some new food in the house. We headed off to the store and for the first time in a while, we were able to get everything on the list. It's a nice feeling knowing that we don't have to hope for more food to be put out tomorrow. It's really annoying when that happens.
We got home and unpacked our food. We promptly started some lunch and sat down to eat. We had a very relaxing day, doing nothing worthy of mentioning. I love spending time with Tyler. I think we would have gone for a walk but it did a variety of fun things in the weather today. It hailed, rained and spat all day.
I feel really rad because we didn't do anything today. I call it relaxing but we really just didn't do anything. I hope that tomorrow's weather will allow us to do more. I can't wait till spring and summer comes because then we can be outside more.
I know, I know, this wasn't that great of a blog, but it's hard to follow a blog about tsunami day.

Washed away
So today started out quite differently. I was awakened by a nudge from Sonja asking me to check my phone because it was vibrating. I check and saw that Uncle Tim had texted me that there was an earthquake in Japan and a tsunami had just hit Hawaii and headed towards us. I shrugged it off and went back to sleep because I was still tired. I slept until the alarm went off for Sonja to get up. Just as I was drifting back to sleep I heard someone running down our wooden sidewalk. I was half asleep and first thought it part of another dream. Then I heard the banging and the doorbell ring. I tried to jump out of bed, but got tangled up in the sheets. Next was trying to track down some pants in the dark, not as easy as it sounds. I finally found some and put them on and answered the door. There was one of the nurses there and she told me that we are in tsunami watch and everyone was being rounded up to the hospital until further notice. That way everyone was aware of what was going on and ready to move to higher ground if necessary. Also as added help to move the patients if needed. So we got dressed and packed some things up that we would need worst case scenario. In the backpack was our computer, for all of our pictures, our ID and wallets, marriage certificate, Sonja's monkey, and of course the cat in her pet taxi. So everyone can relax and not worry about her floating around the Pacific. She was going to be safe.
So we gathered up our stuff and went over to the hospital. Sonja was scared this morning because she had a dream that the tsunami hit and was washing everything away and I wasn't there with her. So her day started out bad for her. We just sat in the staff lounge and I checked in on what was going on, and get an update. We were just on a watch and the emergency command center in Prince George was giving us updates and just told us not to be to concerned. I went back to Sonja in the lounge and we watched the news and CNN. We were expecting the wave to hit around 8. Sonja and I went home about 5 to 8 and I jumped in the shower. The "wave" came and went a little after 8. I found out on the news that all we had for a tsunami was stronger currents. It didn't even make the retaining wall our deck is on wet.
So I finished getting ready for work and waited to go to work. I went and just had a regular day. It wasn't real busy but not entirely dead. The day kinda just went by and it was time to come home. We just had a simple meal of chicken burgers and watched the last few episodes of Sonja's show. After I did a test for psychics and we went for a walk around the town until Sonja got to cold. So we came back to the warm house. We are now watching Modern Family and Sonja is falling asleep on the couch so we will probably go to sleep soon.
But the day ended up alright. We are safe and sound, not wet and not evacuated.

300 and 11.
Well today's post is brought to you by the number 300. This is the 300th post we have written. It is also brought to you by the number 11 because Tyler and I have been married for 11 months now. I know it's not as impressive as 60 years married, like my Mormor and Morfar, but it will do for us. By the way, congratulations to Mormor and Morfar for being married for 60 years. That's pretty cool!
My day has been kind of pathetic. And I'm embarrassed for it. There isn't much worth mentioning as I did very little throughout my work day. The only really fun part of my morning was that I got to help destroy some evidence, and that evidence happened to be 24 beers, 3 big bottles of vodka and some brown kind of liquor. I poured it all down the drain and although I smelt like I was drunk and the cells smelt like a brewery, it was still pretty fun.
My afternoon was filled with me looking out the window, trying to find cute things to text Tyler about. I was also texting Amy. And at 3:30, I was given the task to fix a mistake that someone had made. It was better then sitting there but silly that I had to fix it.
Our evening was filled with doing lots of dishes. We saved them again, once again vowing to never pile them up again. We will see how long that lasts for.
Early to bed tonight.
Happy 11 months, Tyler!

BUSY!!
Today was a much different day than expected. It was busy all day at work. Not what I was expecting when I woke up this morning. The x-ray machine is fixed so I was expecting it to be a little bit busy, but not like it was. I got to work and found that my co-worker, Kate had been busy collecting blood. There had been probably ten people in since eight. So there was lots of work to be done in the lab. So I helped her out for a bit until it was all caught up and then it was coffee time. So I took my break. I came back and found that there were 3 hospital patient x-rays to do. So I got started on them. They took a lot of work, since they were all elderly people. I finished up the first one and then had another outpatient come in so I squeaked him in before lunch. After lunch I finished off the in patients as well as all the other out patients that came in. I did x-rays on 11 different people today, which is probably a record for Bella Bella. I haven't been this busy since I was a student in Ponoka.
At four we had a little boy come in for x-rays and blood work. We couldn't get any blood from him after many attempts. After finishing him up after 30 minutes of trying, there was another patient in the ER. I Stayed late and came home at 5:30.
We discovered that we didn't actually have all the ingredients for tonight's supper, so we opted for fend for yourself night. Sonja had cereal and made a smoothie, and I had some baked cheese toast and curly fries. They were really good and it was a super filling supper.
We have spent the night watching Grey's anatomy and generally relaxing. We are probably going to bed shortly, just going to watch Modern Family and then off to bed for us.

Me again!
Today started out pretty good, except for the typical Kitten cone wash in the morning. I got out of bed, showered and ate a boring breakfast of fruit and yogurt. I wasn't in the mood for cereal for some reason. Maybe it was because it's cold and I wanted to be warm.
I got to work and was right away able to do real work. It felt really good to be able to actually do some work. But I could feel it slowly going away. I could see my to do list slowly getting checked off. I was done my to do list by 10 am and was soon twiddling my thumbs, begging for work to do. It was pretty brutal. There was also a painter in the detachment making every thing all red and blue and pretty. We were afraid that the fumes would get to us, but it wasn't that bad. It might have been worse if the guy was painting more then just doors.
After lunch was more of the same boring. I asked to help my co-worker but she said that I was helping her already. I pulled files for her. It was pretty easy and my day lasted forever.
I finally got home and started on dinner. It looked pretty easy but once I got into it, turns out it was more complex then I thought. I had to chop onions, cook chicken, cook noodles.. it was an exhausting meal prep. But the food ended up tasting pretty good in the end. I think the sauce would be a good nacho did, if we were having nachos.
Our evening has been filled with internet surfing by Tyler and cross-stitching by me. I'm so excited for working on this project. I had to start over a few times because I want to make it perfect. It's super cool.
And now we are watching a bit of tv before heading to bed. Tyler is off to work right now so I'm just blogging by myself.
I hope tomorrow is a little busier then today was.

Another Week
Another week started this morning. I am on call again, which means once again I was left to sleep in for an extra hour while Sonja got up. Eventually though it was time for me to get out of bed and I did. I had a shower and then tried to scrounge for some breakfast. I ended up with a banana and nutri-grain bar since we had no milk for cereal, or bread for toast.
Today was a super slow day as our x-ray reader is down, so therefore we can't take any x-rays because they can't be seen afterward. So seeing as that's my main job this week, I didn't have much to do. So I studied my physics. I have a test later this week that I need to study for. Sorry though but my day was pretty boring.
I came home and found that Sonja had gotten to the store and when she came home started on supper. We now have milk and bread and everything else that was on our list. I started on the dishes while she cooked. We had some kind of soup like meal. It was chicken and cream of chicken soup with vegetables in it. It was good. Sonja wasn't a huge fan of it but I enjoyed it.
After supper I cleaned up and Sonja worked on her new project. It is frustrating her and now she is going to re-start. We are also watching her Grey's Anatomy while I surf the internet.
Not much else for tonight. Sonja I tired and said she wanted to go to bed early.

Weekend wonder
What a wonderful day to do nothing. Sundays are just the best.
Tyler got out of bed way to early and I stayed in there until about 10. It was good to sleep in and just lay in bed. That's usually what I miss on weekdays. Just laying there, dozing in and out of sleep, it's pretty awesome.
Once I rolled out of bed, I found Tyler playing pac man. I think he's addicted to it. But I am also once again addicted to something. I was given the next season of Grey's Anatomy and have finished it this weekend. It's a little sad that that's what I have been doing all weekend. And that's what I did all day today.
Not all day, as that would be ridiculous. We also went shopping for food. It was actually open today but I don't think it would have been. Most of the fresh food shelves were empty. There was no bread. I was hesitant to buy any meat because I don't know if it was kept cold during the power outage. There was also hardly anything in the dairy section. We don't have milk for who knows how long. It makes me sad because I love milk. It's just so good. The upside to there being old fruit and veggies and hardly any food, is most of it was really cheap. We got most of our "fresh" food for under 75 cents. I got 6 kiwis for $1.25. It mad me happy. I will have to end up going there later this week for the rest of it but it made for a very cheap grocery day.
I was able to cross stitch most of the day which was so nice because I finished my project and started a new one. And once I'm done this one, I get to start another one and that makes me excited.
We went for a quick walk in the afternoon because it was pretty nice outside. We came home and went to our friends place for a quick game of phase 10. I almost won but then didn't in the end. It was fun to get out of the house.
And now we are home. Kitty is currently cone-less and Tyler is fishing for some pickles in the kitchen. It was a really nice day. Weather was awesome, Kitty was extra cute and I finished a project. Tyler also did a few things including surfing the internet, and play more pac man.
Not much else to mention. Early to bed for us and another week ahead.

Saturday!
Today was the first day of the weekend. I was hoping to be able to sleep in this morning but I wasn't really able to. Maybe tomorrow. I got out of bed at 8 and surfed the internet a little bit waiting for Sonja to get up. Today was a nice relaxing day. Sonja finally got out of bed and started watching the next season of Grey's Anatomy that she is borrowing from one of her co-workers. I made a menu and the shopping list for the week, and cleaned up the kitchen a little bit. I cleaned off the stovetop and wiped the counters down.
Eventually we decided to head to the store and get the groceries. Unfortunately the store was still closed from the power outage. They were inspecting something yesterday and I guess they didn't finish. So we went back home and resume Sonja's new show. Sonja watched that pretty much all day, and I surfed the net for a while.
Tonight was pizza night again because it was just so good last time, we decided we needed it again. However things didn't exactly go as planned. Sonja made the dough and put it in the new oven's warming drawer. It was kind of forgotten about, and when we remembered it, it was almost cooked in the bowl. So we learned to put the warmer on a minimum heat setting instead of where we had it. So instead of just finishing cooking it and starting again with fresh dough, Sonja tried to salvage what we had. She rolled it out and it kind of re-doughed itself. We finished putting the pizza together and threw it in the oven. It turned out all right. The dough didn't really rise on the crust very much, and rose in the middle of the pizza. It tasted fine, just looked funny.
The Oilers were playing on CBC tonight, so we were able to watch it tonight. It started out good and continued to be a good game. We won 5-1 and are now 3-0 in the post Dustin Penner era. For those of you who don't know, on Monday our leading scorer was traded to Los Angeles. I think that it was a very wise move, but we haven't lost since moving him, so maybe he was the root of our problems. This likely isn't the case, but it would seem true since we have won all our games without him.
Today was sunny and finally looking like spring will be coming. The temperature is supposed to be on the rise and more sun coming. Hopefully tomorrow will be another good day and I can get a chance to sleep in.

We got power!!!!!
Well, last night was rough. We spent the night trying to keep warm with lit candles and 5 blankets, with multiple layers and toques. And I was still cold. It was so ridiculous. Even Kitten was cold because she spent the evening cuddling under the blankets as well.
We went to bed early because there was nothing else to do. It was warm once we were laying there for a while. I'm a fan of roughing it every once in a while but only when we're camping. It's not supposed to be that cold when you're in your own home. At around 9 the power came on and it went back out just as quickly. What a tease! I thought it was on for good but it turned off again and we were back in the dark. The power did officially come on at around 1am. I had turned the lamp on by accident so when the power came back, it woke Tyler up.
When I woke up in the morning, I was feeling good. It was warm and I knew there was a hot shower waiting for me. It was nice to see that I was putting my clothes on the right way too. Tyler brought our food in from the deck and we ate some breakfast.
And work was pretty good too, not as exciting as getting power back but I'm not sure anything will be now. I was busy all day long so it felt good to be there. I hate feeling useless. It's just the worst feeling ever. I'm also getting along with my co-workers, so that is just a good feeling. I'm having fun and it's not just a waste of time being there any more. I'm being given more responsibility and it looks like I will be there for sure until May 2nd. Perhaps more time will come after that....
I got home and Tyler had started doing dishes. It's nice to know that there wont be a big pile glaring us down all weekend. I'm so looking forward to having some time to do nothing. It was a very busy week and I think I'm getting sick. My ear seems plugged and my throat is a little scratchy.
No big plans for tonight, just enjoying the electricity and each other.

Day two
So we woke up to a freezing cold house. It reminded me of living in the basement, except that there was no hot shower to warm me up. We slept in a little bit because our routine was shortened and there's no point sitting in the cold and dark when we could have been warm in bed.
We went off to work in the snow. It started snowing sometime last night. Work was slow and I just stood watching the gigantic flakes falling. It has probably snow a foot and a half in the last few days. It snowed all day. The sidewalk was shoveled at lunch and by 4 there was another two to three inches of snow on the ground. Lots of snow. Lots of it was washed away by the rain yesterday. But most of it is back again today.
The was talk that the power was supposed to be on by now but we are still freezing and waiting. The computer just ran out of juice and the phone is almost dead so I will get this posted.

Power outage
Well, today was a day that ended very differently then how it began. Let me begin by saying I'm typing this from Tyler's phone so any spelling errors can be attributed to this tiny little keyboard.
We got up, showered and I was very surprised to find that it was not windy at all. Yesterday there was a threat of 160kph winds that were supposed to hit us but the weather this morning was actually pretty nice. I was a little disappointed because I didn't really want to go to work this morning.
The first half of the day was very calm, with very little calls and a steady flow of odds and ends for me to do. I found out today that I get to work there for at least another 2 months so that was some good news.
After lunch at around 2:30 the chaos started. Those winds hit Bella Bella so hard and so fast that it's hard to describe. When we looked at the water from our windows, the waves were being blown into a mist and the whole channel seemed foggy. A power line got blown over and trees were also threatening to come down. It kept our members very busy. It turns out that when the weather is beating you down, there is little empathy from those many callers who had "problems". I was hung up on for asking people to stay off the road. I was told by a caller not to tell them what to do. People called asking what we were going to do for those who don't have food. It turned into a real gong show of an afternoon. But it was fun. It was a nice change from what usually happens around here. I was getting real complaints I stead of lost cell phone calls. I enjoyed the madness. It was also fun when we heard a loud bang and saw pieces of roof flying by. We thought our own roof had ripped off but it was the hospital roof that was targeting us.
I got home to find Tyler standing in the dark by the window. I'm surprised our windows aren't broken. I'm sure if the wind was blowing directly at is there would be nothing left. I can't believe how insane this wind was. It has calmed down now, still a little windy and still no power. It's getting colder and colder in our house. We have candles lite for heat and light but we don't know what's for dinner now. Tyler suggested pie irons over the flames but that's a little silly.

It's probably early to bed tonight as there is nothing else to do when the weather is like this. I'm not sure there is any work for me tomorrow because when the power is out, I dot have the ability to work. Long weekend here I come!! That would make up from missing the family day long weekend.
Tyler is studying in the last of the days light. I have claimed a room in the detachment if we get really cold and desperate but I'm hoping it doesn't get that bad.

Arctic Outflow Mayhem
Last night the wind picked up again after two days of just snow, the wind began to howl again, and will continue for probably a few more days. Apparently up to 160 km/h gusts.
So today was like any other Tuesday for me, woke up, went to work, bored at work, so I studied, as I was planning to take a test tonight. There were drifts of snow up to my knees on the walk over to work. So the morning started off wet and cold. The day at work was slow and I had a staff meeting to go to, to break up the day. Eventually it was time to go home.
I got home and changed and took off for the store, in an attempt to finish off the grocery list. The groceries have needed to be trucked from the ferry by pickup, as all the roads are to icy and steep for the semi-trailers themselves to get to the store. So I figured to give them until today to go. Unfortunately they still didn't have the vegetables Sonja wanted for the week. So we'll have to try again another day. After I came back it was time to shovel out the drift that had accumulated on our walkway and stairs. I shoveled it all out and did a path to the hospital so I won't need to traipse through the drifts the whole way. But with the winds that are to be coming, I doubt the path will survive until morning.
After Sonja came home we started to make supper and do the dishes. We were supposed to have cheese stuffed chicken and rice but decided to instead have the chicken on buns instead. It was good. I put buffalo sauce on it and bacon. After supper I did one of my tests online for MRI and did some other studying until I decided I was fed up.
I haven't been doing too much since. Just writing this and talking to mom and dad as they had called.
