It was a Friday for sure

Friday, finally.  It took all week to get here and it took all day to come to an end.  Today wasn't my favorite day.

Let's start at the very beginning, as very good place to start.  My Kitty alarm went off too early, again around 5am.  I was able to put her on snooze with a few scratches.  She was waiting for me outside our door when I got up for my shower.

After a breakfast of tasty cake from Christmas from Mormor and Morfar.  I would try to spell it but I don't know how to, and I'm sure I don't have the required letters on this keyboard.  I noticed that it had snowed quite a bit last night but I wasn't prepared for what I walked out into.

On my way to work, I was the 2nd person out there.  That means that there was only one set of foot prints to follow.  I was disappointed because it took all week for a good path to be forged from the previous snowfall.  What a life.  Any way, the foot tracks I had to follow were clearly male because they were far apart.  Tyler just told me they were from our female neighbor who is pretty tall, so that explains the male looking tracks.  It was blowing snow on my walk to work.  By the time I got there, my shoes and socks were soaking wet.

The morning went by without many hitches.  A typical day of not doing much.  Around lunch time I had a bit of a dilemma.  I was working on getting access for the police systems.  After a few phone calls, I had everything set to go.  I went to sign in and it said the token I have been using belonged to the woman I'm replacing.  It freaked us out because we thought we were in fact using her token and had changed all the passwords.  But then it was lunch time.

I came home and as soon as I exited the detachment, I slipped about 10 times.  I stepped over a cement parking block and almost slipped over that.  And then walking down our small little hill, I kept slipping and sliding, but never fully falling over.  It just made me grumpy.  Tyler didn't see a nice side of me.

I thought ahead and packed dry socks and my new pink slippers I got from my parents for Christmas.  On the way to work, I actually did slip and got mud all on my pant leg.  It was less frustrating because it became a little funny.

The afternoon was alright.  I was learning how to use programs and do real work.  It started raining during the afternoon which made for an interesting walk home.  There was about a shoe's height on snow and a lot of water underneath.  It sucked.

I got to come home early, so I worked out and was ready for the evening when Tyler came home.  We have no food in our house, so Tyler made rice.  That's it.  We are very creative with our meals.  I'm hoping that there is food in the Band Store tomorrow or else we will be out of luck.

Tyler informs me that for the next 5 days, it will do nothing but rain outside.  I can't wait for spring and summer again.  Then we can actually go outside without getting soaked.

Our plans for the rest of the evening include watching another movie.  We just finished up with Golden Eye.  It's the movie Tyler's James Bond game is based on.

I plan on doing a ton of stitching on this quilt.  I only have a few more weeks to get it done and I'm pretty close already.
