Tomorrow at this time we will be boarding our plane of our final destination of Edmonton. It has been a long time waiting. But first I'll go through today. I woke up and it was raining and not to pleasant. I went to work and spent the day by myself. Kate had gone to Klemtu to help them get organized a little bit better up there. It was a good day. It wasn't to busy but wasn't slow enough that I was completely bored out of my mind. The afternoon was much slower than the morning. But it was good because I got some of my psychics reading done, along with some other little work projects I found for myself.
I came home at 5:30 and tried to find something to eat. Since we are leaving, the house is pretty bare. After some cleaning and over last minute things before coming home. Sonja packed her clothes a d I did some laundry. Eventually I found something to eat. I had some curly fries and a hamburger a pretty decent Wednesday night meal I think.
Now we are just relaxing watching tv and waiting for the clothes to finish drying so we can finish packing.
Tomorrow we leave and it will be awesome. The weather should co-operate and we should get out out of here. We are looking forward to supper tomorrow night. We are planning on Subway. It has been to long and it is so good.
Sorry this is so late. I have been having trouble with the Internet.

Great Din Din
2 more days!!!! 2 more days and we will be home again. I wish I had something else, more exciting for you all to read about but I'm just so excited. I've been thinking about what I'm most excited about, and the list just keeps getting longer and longer. And everything thing on the list is tied for first place in what I'm mostly looking forward to. But enough about that.
I woke up this morning and ate some breakfast of rice krispies. We are almost out of milk again so I can't drink too much every day. If there is no milk for Tyler's breakfast, he gets a little upset, which I think is really funny because Tyler thinks milk is for babies and he hates the taste of it. So why I have to be so concerned about if he gets milk for breakfast only to have him pour it all down the drain, I'll never be able to figure out.
I spent the morning reading a book I borrowed from a co-worker. It's about an actresses struggle with her weight and eating disorders and stuff like that. It was an easy read, probably because it wasn't very well written, and it was kind of interesting. I started it yesterday and finished it up this afternoon. That's how I mostly spent my day.
I did shower and then after moisturizing my hands, I was then trapped in the bathroom. I couldn't open the door because my hands were so slippery. I wasn't sure how I was going to get out but then I wiped my hands off and was free.
I also played some Wii. Today it was ping pong, bowling and 18 rounds of frisbee golf. I'm getting better at each game and my arm doesn't hurt any more.
I went to the post office and mailed away a letter, now that the mail will be moving.
Once Tyler came home, dinner was made and we sat down together to enjoy our meal together. And it was the best dinner we've had in a very long time. We had chicken with roasted pepper flavored rice. I can't even describe how great it all tasted together. For the first time in a while I don't feel the need to eat something later tonight because I'm actually full from dinner.
Our evening is looking pretty ... uneventful. We had our cat-sitter over just now to explain the ins and outs of taking care of Kitty. I showed her how to take off the cone, put it back on, showed her where the litter box was and where the collect of baggies is. I showed her how to feed Kitty too.
Tyler is now preparing the salmon for it's trip to Alberta. There is an uncle who has requested some make it out to Sylvan Lake so Tyler is working hard to saw the whole frozen fish into travel friendly pieces.
Tyler is now done and we are enjoying the evening together.
2 more days!!!! And tomorrow we get to start packing and that will make tomorrow night go by faster then tonight will. Actually, it's already 8pm so it's going pretty quickly already... WHOA!!

Home stretch
I woke up this morning in the last week until our holidays. When I got our of bed it was sunny and looked like it was going to be a nice day. I went into work and the morning just kinda went by. I had an uneventful morning at work. Soon I came home and had lunch. It was nice to be home and have a sandwich and spend some time with Sonja.
I went back to work and did a few more x-rays. We had ordered a new microscope a while back and it finally came today. I spent the afternoon putting it together and getting it all set up. It took all afternoon with the interruptions that I got. But it was finally all set up and is 1000 times better than our old ones. It is a nice upgrade.
I was able to come home on time at 5 which is always nice. There is nothing worse than having a slow afternoon and having it look like you'll be home on time and then something happens and you end up staying later than hoped. So I quickly got out of there and came home and started to make supper. We were having tacos, so I started to make the beef and grate the cheese. They were really good.
After supper I had a test to write. So I did that so now I don't need to worry about it when we are home.
After that we just relaxed. We played a little bit of Mario Kart and watched Americas Got Talent.
Two more days of work and then it is Thursday.
Also happy birthday Gavin.

A few more days!
Only a few more days till we get to come home and I'm getting more and more excited. It's getting painful to have to wait this long to see family. I feel like I just cant wait any more so I'm glad there is only 4 more days till we board that plane. I just to be on that plane home. Waiting in the Vancouver airport isn't going to be fun but at least we wont be waiting here any more. But enough of that talk. It will go quick and it will be good to get a hug from family again.
We both woke up around the same and just hung out in bed. It was nice to just relax and not rush out of bed like we always do. Kitten was also just laying on her mat beside our bed as well. The whole family was together. It was a nice way to start the morning.
Once out of bed, I showered while Tyler went to the store to pick up some milk. I was so hungry for rice krispies so when Tyler came home empty handed, I was crushed. Nothing was unloaded from the food trailers so we couldn't buy anything. I ate an apple instead.
While Tyler studied, I did the dishes. There wasn't too many of them, but after half an hour of dirty water and prune hands, I was done. I did finish them and was soon able to just enjoy my Sunday. Tyler was still studying so I played some Wii. I played some ping pong and frisbee golf. My arm kind of hurts now after 2 days of movement like that. I was afraid for a little while that my arm hurt because I cross stitched for a few hours yesterday, but then I remembered that I played Wii, and that settled my mind. How silly would that have been.
Once Tyler finished his studying, we just hung out together. Tyler is getting pretty annoyed at me always saying how much I can't wait to go home. he has vowed never to tell me the date we are leaving for home again just so I don't have any specific date to look forward to.
We went for a walk to the store because I still needed milk. And then I got frustrated. When we entered the store, the shelves we still empty. It just made me so angry that they had all morning to unpack the food and it hadn't been done yet. I just couldn't believe it. Now that I think of it, it makes total sense that Bella Bella wouldn't be on top of things like that. One more reason to look forward to being back civilization. We also went to the convenience store which at one point had milk in it, but not today. It made me pretty upset that there could be no milk available in the town and that's all I wanted.

I woke up right on cue this morning, 7:40, the same time that I have been waking up all week. I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. I failed and eventually got out of bed around 8:30 and surfed the internet. I had to go into work this morning, but also had to take some stuff up to the airport, which doesn't open until 10. So I went into work at 10 to find out I didn't need to take blood from the person I was told I had to yesterday. Instead I went and packed up our send out box and got ready for the airport. I was just about ready to go when the doctor stopped me and asked me to take some blood from a different patient. So I did and then it was goodbye to my easy callback. I had problems with one of our analyzers and I had to fix it before I was able to leave. I was able to fix it, however I am sure it will only be temporary, as we have been having trouble with it for a few days.
I finished up and went to the airport before coming home. When I got home I made some lunch for myself. I had a delicious cheeseburger and smokies. It was just what I needed. The rest of the morning was spent studying. Sonja played some Wii while I studied.
When I finished up for the day we took a nap for a half hour. When we woke up it was off to the store for a few groceries, to last us until Wednesday. When we came back from the store we tidied up a bit in preparation for our trip.
We warmed up our leftovers from last night and I had that for supper and Sonja had some honeydew. After that we watched a movie. It was a nice way to end the night.

Phase 10 win
What a great Friday I had!
It started with a good amount of sleeping in. Not too much so my day wasn't totally wasted but enough to make me feel rested.
I had 2 bowls of rice krispies for breakfast and fell in love with them all over again. I forgot how delicious those little things were. After breakfast I went for a nice walk. I went around town and then came home a little while later.
Once home, I ate some lunch and waited for Tyler to come home for his lunch break. We sat at the table and talked for lunch and then he was off to work again. I then went out to hang out with our friend Jan. She said she was at the school park, so I went to the park to find no one there. I texted her and asked her where she was. She was at the Band Store now and forgot to tell me. I met her at the Store and she was with a whole bunch of little girls. We went and watched some guys cast off the wharf. Kendra's dad was also out there so we all stood around and talked.
After a while, it was decided that a little boat ride was in order. They convinced me that it was only going to be a short ride to Old Towns for some trolling.
So I hopped onto the boat and we all went out for a "short" boat ride. In the end, we didn't get back to shore until 4 hours later. I really enjoy going out on the boat and seeing new sights, but when they tell me it's only going to be a short little trip and it ends up taking 4 hours, I don't like that. I got cold because I wasn't dressed properly and I was hungry because I didn't expect to be out for that long. I'm not complaining but I don't know if I'll go out again. We also always go when he weather is cold and dreary which makes sitting out on a boat for hours and hours almost miserable. But it was still fun. Just unexpectedly long :)
Once we did get back, Tyler came down to the wharf to see the fish that were caught. Of course the biggest one we had on the line managed to get away right as it approached the boat. Tyler walked me home and informed me that dinner was in the oven. Classy chicken once again! There wasn't much broccoli in it and I found it a little more salty then I like, but it was still oh so good, as usual. I ended up burning the rice though because I was watching the NHL draft. It happened to be the Oilers 2nd pick and I lost track of time. I managed to save most of it though. I think the trick is to not mix in the burnt and the not burnt.
Tyler got called into work just once this evening. Once he was back, we went up to Kendra's place and played a really strange marble game they play. I didn't like it at all but they've been playing it forever so they taught it to us and we played a few games. Then we played Phase 10. I love that game. And I happen to win this time.
We finally got home again and now it's getting really late. I'm pretty tired and I imagine Tyler is too. It's off to bed as soon as he's finished watching all his highlights from the NHL draft.
I'm looking forward to this weekend. It will be good to spend time with Tyler again. Not that we don't spend time together, but weekends are just the best. He doesn't have to get up early, we can enjoy breakfast together, we enjoy the whole day together and I'm not waiting for him to get home for lunch. I love weekends.
I don't have to mention how much I'm looking forward to Thursday.

T-1 week
Last night I was so tired. I hadn't been sleeping very good the last couple nights. It was good to sleep. I woke up once all night, as compared to the ten times or more a night the last couple nights. However I was still tired when I woke up.
I went to work and it was moderately busy. It has been busy the last couple days. Busy enough that I didn't get home until after 6 last night. The morning seemed to whiz by and shortly it was lunch. I came home and had a sandwich with Sonja. It was starting to clear up at lunch. While we were eating we were able to watch a helicopter land on the breakwater.
After lunch I went to work and was able to do some homework which was handy. I just about finished my assignment and should be able to finish it tomorrow and I plan on writing my test on Sunday, and Monday if I get to busy with work. After coffee in the afternoon I ended up being busy until I came home just after 5.
We had been invited over to Kendra's for supper. Her mom made supper. It was good. Pork tenderloin, baby potatoes, salad and tomatoes. After supper it was awards night at the school, so we went up and took that in. Jan and Carl's kids both got awards.
After that was over we came home and had popcorn and played with the cat for a little bit. We watched the end of Wipeout and a new show called Expedition Impossible, which is pretty much Amazing Race but only one country.
Tomorrow is Friday and the end of the week. It is also Draft Day. We will see what the Oilers reward will be for being such a terrible team this last year. Also Ryan Smyth may be an Oiler again at the end of the weekend, which is awesome.

One more week until we leave tomorrow. Can you tell that we are excited? I so badly want to come home, I’m almost going crazy. I really can’t believe we still have a whole week to go and with the way my day went today, it’s going to take forever to get here.
I woke up early after barely getting a restful sleep. It wasn’t a great night for me. I was waking up every hour and I really don’t know why. I felt like I had been asleep for a long time but then I would look at the clock and it was just an hour after the last time I looked. It was getting ridiculous. When Tyler got up for work, I also got up because there was no way I was going sleep any more.
Once Tyler left for work, I was pretty bored. It was pretty cloudy most of the day and sprinkled a little as well. I ate some breakfast and played with Kitten for a bit. I also worked on my current cross stitching project. I had high hopes that I would get this one done a lot quicker then my last one, but it’s not looking promising. I’m actually taking more time to do it. I find that when I have nothing but time on my hands, I don’t end up doing the same things as I would be doing if I had a full time job. I can’t really figure it out.
We enjoyed lunch together and then Tyler was off to work again. His day was pretty uneventful but then got really busy towards the end so he was late coming home by an hour. When he’s late, it makes it tough to make dinner. Luckily he was having fries and chicken strips and I had noodles. I wasn’t feeling the whole fake chicken stripes vibe tonight and I saw a really good looking noodle dish on tv while I was waiting for Tyler to come home. My meal didn’t look as good as the one on tv, but it did the trick for me.
We then went over to Kendra’s place and met her parents. It was a really great evening. We sat around and talked and then we started to play crokeno . I’m not sure how to spell that but it was really really fun and now my finger tip hurts. We played boys vs. girls and each of us won one game. Tomorrow night is the rematch. It was a great way to wrap up the day.
We are now home and getting ready for bed. Just watching some Edmonton news.
I am looking forward to next week. I don’t like wishing time away but I’m really looking forward to coming home.

8 days
At the end of today is 8 days until we come home. It will be good to be back. 7 months is a long time to go with out having more than a few days off at a time.
Today was a very routine day. I went in today and found that it was going to be a super slow day. Nothing really happened and what did need to be done, my boss was actually on top of and beat me to it. I had a couple xrays to do in the morning. I was then able to go for coffee, for a break I'm not sure was deserved, based on the slowness of the day.
Unfortunately the slow time continued on until lunch. It was aboriginal day today, so the clinic was putting on a BBQ for the hospital and some of the community. I went on my lunch at 12:30 and it still wasn't ready after it was advertised that they were starting it at 11:30. However I didn't need to wait long until the food started flowing.
The day unfortunately stayed slow. Eventually it was time for me to go home and for supper we had a mission of trying to clean out the fridge a bit. I did a little bit of studying trying to finish up my unit before coming home. The rest of the night has relaxing. We went for a walk around town to fill some time. Not to much on plan for the rest of the night.

Work Day
Today was my official last day of work. They now have no more reserve days so I'm not sure what they are planning on doing if the office person wants a day off. Oh well, it's no longer my problem.
I had to wake up super early, well, it's probably just regular time but it sure felt super early. I did manage to get out of bed with limited troubles which surprised me. I thought it would a lot harder to roll out but I just got up and managed to stay up.
I ate some alpha bits for breakfast and was soon off to work. I actually wasn't looking forward to going to work, not only because I'm use to not working but because I knew how much work would be saved up for me to do based solely on the fact that they know I would get it done. It's frustrating being fast at a job. They saved things up for me and I thought that was silly. Things that should have been done a long time they saved up just for me.
Unfortunately they saved to much for me and I didn't actually get everything done. Oh well, again, that's no longer my problem. Most of the day I typed out some statements. There were a few of them and it took a long time. Then the rest of afternoon I spent trying to figure out how to play the last statement. It didn't work at all and it ended up being kind of a waste of an afternoon but I did try. I really tried my hardest to finish but it didn't work at all.
Tyler scared me at lunch, big time. He came home and said that I peed on the floor. That really shocked me because I don't remember doing that. I did get up last night but I'm pretty sure I made it to the bathroom and didn't detour to the kitchen. I was so afraid and I was wondering why I hadn't seen it yet. More importantly, I was so embarrassed. I was so concerned. And then he broke the news to me. One of my alpha bits, the "P" was on the floor. I can't believe I fell for that trick but I was so relieved to find that I didn't actually pee on the floor. What a husband I have.
Our evening has been winding down nicely. We had dinner which consisted of fries, fruit and chicken strips. I had the fruit afterwards. And Tyler has been studying for a long time now. I'm getting ready to head for bed. It's been a long day and I'm ready for some sleep.
I'm also getting ready to come home in a few days. It's coming so quickly and I love that. Soon, we get to hang out with family and friends. It's going to be so busy but so awesome.
Kitten was just laying half on the computer and half on my stomach. It made it tough to blog but I'm nearing the end of it. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. That brings us one more day closer to coming home.

Father's Day
Today was a relaxing day. We both were able to sleep in past 9. I don't remember the exact time that I woke up but it was nice to sleep in for a change. I eventually got out of bed though and tried to surf the internet for a little bit. That didn't work at all and I then went on to start studying.
Sonja got up shortly and had some breakfast. We had to go to the grocery store today, but decided to wait until later in the day. I studied a bit this afternoon, trying to finish up a unit before coming home. At some point today an Austin Powers movie was on so we relaxed and watched that.
We actually didn't too much today. I cut my hair and Sonja took a nap. I went out to the store and quickly bought what we still needed. I cam home and Transformers was on so we watched that. I alway enjoy watching Transformers, even though Sonja doesn't so much.
We had tacos for supper and are continuing our relaxing day. Sonja has to work tomorrow, but it will probably be slow as it is Aboriginal Day.

Saturday!
Today marked the end of dad's vacation out here. It was really great to have him out here again and I think he had a fun time too. He was pretty busy almost the whole time so we think it was a good trip.
I woke up a few times this morning when Tyler and Dad started being a little loud. And it was a little after 9 this morning so it was time for me to get up. I didn't want to miss out on any time with Dad while he was out here.
Once out of bed, I realized that they had been up to a few things. Tyler tried to get his buzz bomb from the ocean but wasn't able to in the end. I guess him and dad both went down to the shore before I got out of bed.
Dad was starting to make breakfast which was so tasty, but a little salty. He made bacon and then in the bacon grease, he fried up some fresh cod he was given yesterday. I didn't have any fish but from the sounds of it, it was really great.
After breakfast, we sat around and just talked some more. We talked about a bunch of things but I can't really remember them. It was a nice long talk though. It's always nice to spend quality time with family.
And soon enough, it was time to drive to the airport. We packed up Dad's things into the car and headed out. Once Dad checked into his flight, we waited around a while to see him off. There was a little boy who was standing beside Tyler and when his mom told him to sit down, he looked at Tyler with this scared little boy look and said that he didn't want to sit by Tyler. It was funny. The flight was delayed so we decided to take off before Dad got on the plane. We hugged and said out goodbyes. It was really great to have him out here.
We drove back home and on the way, we stopped for groceries. Unfortunately our list was pretty bare as we are getting less and less inspired for dinner ideas. And Klemtu had been there earlier and cleared out all the good stuff. I hate when they come to town. They always take all the milk and dairy so there is nothing left for Bella Bella.
And then we came home. We heard a number of different planes fly in but we never heard the one Dad was supposed to be on. We don't know what time he actually flew out of here but I hope he wasn't at the airport for long. That's never fun and there isn't anything to do at our little airport. We do know he missed his connecting flight and will be arriving home a little later then he planned. It was really awesome having him out here. Now there is less then 2 weeks until we are home again and having Dad out here makes it seem like it's going quicker. And that's really awesome!!!
Our afternoon has been filled with nothing much. We ate lunch and dinner. I took a nap on the couch for an hour while Tyler played some Wii. He also studied a bit. It was business as usual. Work tried to call me in but I said no. I have to work on Monday and I didn't want guarding messing up my sleep schedule.
We are just finishing up The Lord of the Rings. It will be early to bed for us tonight. We are both pretty tired and looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning. Tyler will be on call until we come home so it's going to be a long few weeks for him.
It's been a really great time having Dad out here. I hope he gets home safe and sound and I look forward to coming home again in a few weeks.

Long night/day
Well if you were wondering why there wasn't a blog done last night, it was because we didn't have time. I will first tell the boring part. I woke up and went to work as always. To top it all off it was a super boring day.
Now to the exciting part. I got a text from our friend Carl, asking if Jim wanted to go out fishing and would be ready to go in 30 minutes. So I called home and talked to Sonja and he was fair game. So I took off from work an hour early and got ready to go. We went down to the wharf just as he was pulling in. He had taken a bunch of students out fishing in preparation for today which was oceans day. We got in the boat and found three salmon and two halibut on the floor and a bunch of rock fish. It was a pretty good haul and it was looking promising for us. We left about a half hour later and went north towards the light house.
We went around the north of the island to a bay. It turns out that there was a long line set and ready to be pulled. The bay was actually just north of the airport. So a long line is a rope that is 1200 feet long with weights on the ends and middle to keep it down near the bottom. There is a short foot long rope every 6-10 feet with a baited hook on it. So Jan's brothers pulled the line up to see what was on it. There ended up being 3 rock fish on it and 2 sting ray looking things that were tossed back. After it was all pulled up it was decided that there was still enough bait to set another line. So we set the line and took off to do some trolling.
We went more westerly and started the troll we were going for a bit and then the bell started to ring a bit. Carl motioned for one of us that there was a fish on. Jim took the lead and started to reel up and take the hooks off until he got to the hook with the fish on. It turned out to be what they called a jack spring, which is just a small chinook salmon. He was probably 8 inches long, but unfortunately didn't survive being caught as we snagged him in the gills.
We kept trolling for probably another hour, before giving up and moving somewhere to try our hands at a red snapper. So we pulled up the lines and made our move. We got to the destination and put in our hooks. We were just jigging now and I was the master jigger and caught the only fish that was caught there. I caught 4. We then carried on to the scallop farm as Carl needed to pick up a lantern of scallops to bring back to town, again for oceans day.
It was after dark by the time we left the farm and went back to our long line. It was almost an hour boat by the time got back to the long line. I helped pull this one up and ended up being soaked. All of that work and we only caught 2 rock fish on it. No halibut or nothing exciting. We finished pulling it up and continued on our way back to town. It was almost 1 by the Carl dropped us off on the spit. We went up the spit and it was quickly off to bed.
I woke up too early after our big day, what ended up being a full day of work and then another 8 hours on the boat. I dragged myself to work and stumbled through the day. Unfortunately it was a long, slow boring day. The clinic was closed and the whole town was busy elsewhere for oceans day. It was a cool day. All the local agencies had things going on. The coast guard had displays and tours of the boat, RCMP, and ambulance had things happening, fish filleting and salmon bar-b-q. The salmon was being roasted the old fashioned Heltsiuk way. It was really cool and there will be pictures shown when we get to Alberta in the next couple weeks. I wasn't able to enjoy it fully, but Jim was. He has lots of pictures and was able to take it all in.
The day drug by and so did Sonja's. She was doing first aid and CPR in Shearwater so she missed all of the hoopla. When she got back we headed down to the beach and restarted the fire and had supper down there. We had some fish, smokies, and pie irons. We stayed out there till the misting fog soaked us enough and we were done supper. We came in a watched True Grit, and that brings you up to speed.
It has been a busy, tiring couple days.

Another great day!!!
Today was another really great day. Another great day spent with my dad. I like having him out here. It’s been a really fun time so far.
Kitten started to scratch on my door after Tyler got out of bed. I closed it so she couldn’t get in but of course that’s all she wanted to do. Tyler left for work and I kind of dozed off again. I woke up again when I heard Dad doing the dishes. I didn’t think it was fair for our guest to be doing the dishes while I slept longer into the morning. So I rolled out of bed and started to help.
Once those darn dishes were done, we spent the morning eating breakfast and dad was making plans to go to Shearwater to buy some fishing lures. The ones he and Tyler were using yesterday just weren’t the right kind. He left the house and I finished up my breakfast and started to read my Bible. I am currently about Joseph and his rise to the top of Egypt. Pretty cool story.
Dad came back soon after he left because the seabus wasn’t leaving the dock for another hour and a half. So, we sat around and talked in front of our kitchen window, just looking outside and watching the world go by.
Dad soon left again and I as home alone. I had to go into work for a few minutes to do stuff with our first aid course. I’ve decided that I hate being in charge of stuff like this. It’s getting annoying having to call everyone and how no one answers their phone in this town. It’s just annoying but I’m getting paid for it so it’s okay.
Tyler came home for lunch and we had some time just the 2 of us. We spent time just talking and being together.
Dad came home around 2 and we went out for a walk. We walked up the big hill and came back down to the school. We went to the cultural center and had a little lesson on Bella Bella. The woman who runs it is really excited about it so she just talked and talked. It was a little tough to enjoy reading all the cool blurbs about the artifacts in there with the woman just talking.
We soon left and headed to the Band store parking lot. There was a tailgate party with all the canucks fans celebrating the big game tonight. It was kind of fun. Dad and I arrived and got in line for the hot dogs and chips. The police were out there playing loud music and everyone was chanting and it was a good fun time. We got bored and came home. Once Tyler came home, he wanted a hot dog too so we both went out there again. It was pretty boring though so we came back home right away.
Once home, we turned on the game to watch the Bruins win the cup. It was a good game but now that city is embarrassing itself. It’s kind of funny to watch but also pretty sad.
I’m getting ready to head to bed. I’m pretty tired now and my head is starting to hurt.
It’s been another great day with Dad. It’s nice having him out here. It breaks up the time we have to wait to see family. Going home doesn’t seem so far away now.

Visiting Day
Today was just another Tuesday, except that we had a guest coming. I got up as usual and started off for work. I got there and it was just another slow day. Nothing really happened at all this morning. Soon though it was lunch. I was taking a late lunch since Jim was coming out.
I came home and had a quick sandwich before leaving for the airport to pick him up. We got there and the plane wasn't there yet so we waited and waited. I needed to get back to work so we went back into town and I went back to work. When I got there I looked up the flight tracker to see when the plane was supposed to land. It loaded up and then told the plane had just landed. I'm not sure how we didn't see it come in but we missed it. So it was back up to the airport to pick him up. We found him starting to walk into town rod and suitcase in tow. He looked like a safe enough guy to pick up, so we did.
Back to work for me to finish up the day. I came home when the day was done and found that supper was almost ready. We were having buffalo chicken pizza tonight. It turned out most deliciously. After supper it was out on the boat. Our friend Carl took us out trolling in front of town tonight. It was fun. We didn't catch any salmon, but we did catch some rock cod and fed some to the eagles. We got some good pictures and videos of the eagles swooping and taking the fish back to their nests to eat.
We did some cruising around in some of the bays and some of the spots that the salmon spawn. Again it was just nice to get out of town for a little bit and see some new scenery.
We got back from fishing/boating about 10:30, so it was a long night of fresh, cold sea air. We are all tired and going to bed as one of us has to work in the morning one has to fish and one is Sonja.

Hmmm
Another Monday on the books and another day where not a lot happened.
After laying in bed for a little while as I slowly woke up this morning, I finally got myself out of bed. I was hungry and I needed some breakfast so I decided it was time to stop being lazy. I ate some apple cinnamon cheerios and that started my day just right.
I was planning on going for a walk around town but the weather foiled that plan. It was crap outside today. Just crap. It rained all day long, and when it wasn't raining it was misting. One upside to that is that we didn't have to water the lawn again. The down side is that it got too much water. Poor little grass seeds, getting too much water. I hope they don't die off on us.
My day was filled with mostly excitement over my dad coming to town tomorrow. We have already cleaned the house and have been washing the blankets and sheets and such all day. Kitten been making sure the bed is comfortable enough for dad when he comes by sleeping on it, and in doing so made it look like we didn't clean the sheets. Oh well, Kitten is cute and I'm sure dad agrees.
I ate some lunch and cross stitched a bit in the afternoon. I also went into work for a little bit to arrange a first aid course for all the guards. No one has it and that's not good, so this Friday, we all get to be bored for the whole day while we listen to the instructor talk about something we all know about.
Tyler is finally not on call this week so he came home on time for the first time in a long time. It's nice that he wont be called in to work this whole week and I think that makes him sleep better at night.
We just finished watching the hockey game. It turned out in our favor with the Bruins winning. That means that Tyler gets to stir the pot when he gets to work tomorrow. He has a few enemies that he bugs every time the canucks lose. It's fun to hear all about that.
I don't know if Tyler mentioned it yesterday, but yesterday was his great grandma's 99th birthday. That is pretty incredible. I wish so badly that we could have been there to help celebrate. It would have been a fun time. Tyler called her so that was better then nothing. Pretty cool though.
Kitten was being a good little girl all day today. She slept with her cone off most of the day but when she got up and walked around, I had to put it back on her. She can't be trusted yet. She is so sweet!
Our evening might wrap up early tonight. We are both pretty tired for whatever reason. I hope the weather is better all week so Dad can actually enjoy his trip out here.
I'm excited to see you, Dad. It will be a good week.

I woke up too early today. I was awake at 7 and laid in bed trying to get to sleep again. I gave up at 7:30 and had a shower. After which I had breakfast and it was off to work at eight. Unfortunately when I was done work I wasn't able to come home right away as I was renewing my CPR certification today.
I was called to work halfway through so I left and missed a half hour or so. I came back and finished up the course and still passed, though missing a chunk. I came home and found Sonja doing some of her stitching. We went out to the store to finish our shopping list off since we are having company coming this week.
After going to the store we had some lunch and spent the afternoon relaxing. I am pretty tired from the week and having a test to do and my CPR course. Its been a busy weekend for me so it was nice to have no commitments and nothing to do this afternoon.
I watered the grass this afternoon, which I'm not sure I needed too because it is supposed to rain this week. We did our laundry today as well as washed the dishes, trying to clean the place up.
There were eagles flying around tonight, so we threw some scraps of meat out and watched the show. We had one fly from over our heads, drop down and take the food. It was pretty cool and Sonja got a few good pictures.

Long, long day
What to say about today... I really don't know where to start. Not because we did so many exciting and new things, but because we did nothing. It was a sad day for excitement. But there is a reason for the boredom.
I was awake at about 7am. I'd like to blame Kitten for that. Very early this morning, I was forced to join her in her bed because she was being a little pain in the butt and I didn't want her to wake Tyler up. He had a rough Friday and I wanted him to get enough sleep. So, at 7am she decided she wanted to look out the window. She was scratching at the blinds and at my blankets and at my arms. I had a good amount of sleep last night so I wasn't really tired, and therefore not really upset. It was kind of cute.
I got out of bed before Tyler did which hasn't happened in a long time. I didn't do much before Tyler soon joined me. He headed off to work pretty much right away and I continued to do nothing. I worked on my cross stitch most of the day.
Once Tyler came home, he started to study for his exam that is due soon so I started cleaning the house. My dad is coming to town on Tuesday and we want to make sure there isn't too much junk on the floor. Tyler took his exam while I watched a bit of tv.
Tyler was back and forth to work a few times. Most recently, he came home a little angry. Drunk people are not the best patients. He refused to deal with the jerk and came home.
We plan on going for a walk, at least a short one just to get out of the house. It's been a very lazy day and I need to do at least something. Plus we walked past those flowers on our way to the store this morning and now I just want to smell it again.
Off we go. I hope tomorrow is a little more thrilling.

Busy Day Today
I woke up very tired this morning and was not wanting to go to into work. I stumbled blurry eyed in the foggy dark to the bathroom and hopped in the shower. I got dressed and poured myself some cereal and had breakfast. Turned on TSN and text B happy birthday.
I went to work at 8 and was busy until I came home at lunch at 12:30. There were people coming steady for their fasting blood work as well as a full ER. I had to take blood from three kids which is always a challenge. Fortunately for me they were all champs and it went a whole lot better than it could have. Altogether I had 15 patients see me this morning, which is more than I see some whole weeks. Also not even counting the x-rays I had to do on some of these patients. So it was a very busy day today as acting manager.
I came home at 12:30 for a quick lunch complete with a humpback whale sighting, before heading back at 1 to finish off all the stuff I had left as well as to pack up my sendouts to Vancouver labs. Eventually though I had everything done and by 2 I was ready for the next wave of work. Soon enough it was time to go home and my busy day was over. Or so I thought. I was home for 5-10 minutes before my phone rang and it was back to work. This time it was just stuff from Klemtu, so not a real big deal and I was home in time for the hockey game.
I knew the hockey game was going to be a close game and unfortunately the Canucks won 1-0. That ended up throwing off my prediction of Boston in 6, now it will have to be Boston in 7.
After the game was over I had studying to do. I have a test do this weekend so I needed to study for it. I did that for about an hour and now am blogging and it will be off to bed as I am exhausted.

Boring day
Tyler is doing some studying right now, so I thought I would just blog already. It gets more annoying the later I leave it so I'm getting a head start on it tonight.
I was pretty tired this morning so I stayed in bed for a little longer then I was anticipating. Once I got out of bed, I ate some breakfast and thought about going into work. I thought about it for about an hour before I finally put some real pants on and headed outside.
The highlight of my day was walking past the beautiful flowers that have lined our walkway. They smell so great that it makes me stop every time I pass them.
I had to go to work today to do head guard stuff. Since one of the guards was cheating on the time sheet, I had to do a calculation of all the hours he stole. I took the sheets home and Tyler helped me with a spread sheet to enter all the information on. I entered all the info into it and emailed it away to my boss.
That took up the whole afternoon. It was a boring but the weather wasn't the nicest today so I wasn't missing much by staying in all day.
Tyler came home and pretty much had to go to work again right away. I had some cereal for dinner and now am wanting something more. Tyler is studying and will have to go to work again tonight at some point.
It's not looking like a thrilling evening for us. We just saw a funny looking boat go by, one that we have never seen before.
Kitten is sleeping beside me on the couch. I should work on my cross stitch but I'm not really feeling it tonight.
I'm really looking forward to coming home. It's just a short 3 weeks away. It will be awesome to be with family and friends again. I miss you guys.

2-2
I woke up this morning thinking that the alarm should be going off soon. I was wrong it was only 3. Normally I am excited that there is still 3 hours or more to sleep, but today I wasn't really tired. I went back to sleep anyway and awaited the alarm clock to go off.
I got out of bed a few minutes before the alarm went and hopped in the shower. Sonja was done working yesterday for the week, so she stayed in bed and went back to sleep. Kitty had other plans and woke her up. She got out of bed and joined me for breakfast. The sun was shining and so we sat out on the deck until it was time for me to go to work.
I went to work and was busy. I was busy until 10 when I was able to go for coffee. I went back to work and managed to keep myself busy until lunch. I came home and had left over spaghetti from who knows when. It was still nice out so we went back out to the deck.
I went back to work after lunch and was crazy busy until it was time to come home. It was one thing after another. With the heat today and me running all over the the place, made me super hot. I was able to take a few minutes around three to get a bit of a break until the next wave came through.
I came home to find that supper was ready. So we ate and got ready for the hockey game. We had classy chicken again. Its probably our favorite meal, so we eat it whenever we can. The hockey game was good. Boston won 4-0, putting another nail in Vancouver's playoff coffin. It will be another fun day going into work tomorrow. It's always fun razing the Canuck fans at work.
After the win we went for a quick victory walk. It was a quick one because the weather has changed and is now cloudy and windy. It looks like it will be raining tonight, which is good because that means I don't need to water our lawn. The grass is growing lots every day. Looks like we will have a full lawn by the time we get back here in July.

Today was the second day of work for me this week and it was a bit like torture. After crawling out of bed, we had to find something to eat our breakfast out of. With me working yesterday, the dishes haven't been done since last Thursday or Friday meaning our cupboards were completely empty and our counter was full. I ate cheerios out of our giant pyrex measuring bowl and Tyler ate out of a rectangular dish. It was quite the sight.
After getting to work, I really didn't have a ton of stuff to do. It was a little sad. I did manage to keep myself mostly busy through out the day with little things. No one was phoning the office so I typed a few things, I searched for a few things in our filing system. It was boring and I really don't know how I survived the day. Some time this morning, the local grade 2's came for a detachment tour. They were pretty cute. They all got so excited to be locked into cells and to be cuffed and all that. Next, they got to play in one of the cop cars. The windows were going up and down, there were kids in the trunk and the sirens were blaring. It was really cute to see how excited they all were.
After work was finished, I came home. Tyler said he got home before me but when I got home, the dishes were still piled up and dinner wasn't started. He apparently got home about 5 minutes before I did, so I guess that's acceptable :)
Tyler got called to work so I started on dishes. I got most of the utensils done by the time Tyler got home. He boiled some hot dogs and we finished up the dishes. I had a salad and one hot dog, and then we just had popcorn. I'm still a little hungry as you can imagine. But it's almost bed time so I can ignore that.
Our evening hasn't been that exciting. I was tired and Tyler was studying until about an hour ago. It's tough to enjoy a beautiful day when you are stuck inside. And it was a beautiful day. I'm hoping it's the same tomorrow as I don't have to work. I wish our lawn was a little more full because then I would lay out there all day long. We have what I would describe as peach fuzz grass. It's not full but it's really cute and short and it's coming in really great.
Almost time for bed, but first a drink of water. I'm pretty thirsty!

Wooohooo
Today was the same as any other Monday, except I was not just getting off of call, rather continuing. But Sonja had to get up with me as she had to work today and tomorrow. So we got up and got ready for work. It was a nice sunny day when we got up and it was too bad we had to be at work.
For me when I got to work I was busy from 8, straight through till 10. Then it was coffee time. After coffee it was a slow day. I don't know what caused the change in business but it was a lot slower. I came home for lunch and had leftover chicken sandwich, dipped in gravy. It was super good. I can't wait till lunch tomorrow to eat some more. We went back to work at 1 and finished off our days at work. The afternoon for me was just as slow as the morning, until 4 when I was getting ready to come home. I didn't actually get home until just before 5.
I got home and we watched the hockey game and made some hot dogs to enjoy with it. The dogs were good and the game was better. The Bruins killed the Canucks 8-1. It was awesome. After the huge win we went out for a walk to rub it into any sulking Vancouver fans faces. Everyone here thinks that Vancouver won the cup when they got past the first round, so its always fun when they lose a game, and by such a huge score.
Last night we saw our first rat. He was taking a cruise on our deck looking for food. He was pretty gross looking, a jumbo sized mouse. Fortunately we saw a cat go by on our deck tonight, so hopefully he found the rat and took care of him. The cat has been acting crazy since she saw the new cat.
Nothing else to report. Nice weather today and supposed to continue for tomorrow.

Early blog
Our internet wasn't working great just a few minutes ago so I decided I blog now, while it's at least sort of working.
Today was a great day! We woke up at the same time, around 9ish. I noticed that the power didn't seem to be on as the alarm clock was not flashing anything.
Once we were out of bed, I'm not really sure what happened. It was one of those days where we kind of just did stuff around the house but I can't really remember what we did.
Tyler made some sausage with cheese on a english muffin. The one bite I had was pretty good. They are a little too greasy for me to have a whole one so I had a bowl of Shreddies. It's been a while since I've had that cereal and I kind of forgot how great it tastes.
I worked on a new cross stitch project that I found in our closet. It's always fun finding new things to do. I hope to have it done fairly soon as it's not that tough.
We went for a long walk around the whole village. It was so hot today and we both wore jeans which was a huge mistake. It made walking up the big hill very tough and unenjoyable. It was so great to be outside in the warmth of the day. Tyler burnt the tops of his shoulders and I got a little more red.
On our way back home, we stopped by the store again to finish our shopping list. We managed to find a few more items on our list. There was also a ton of eagles in the air today. We didn't see any one feeding them but there was about 15 circling above the town.
We enjoyed some cheesies out on the deck in the sun and just watched the boats go by. I love living out here on days like this. It's so relaxing.
Tyler got called into work at some point but he was back quickly so it's like he never left. Tyler started on dinner and it was so good. Tyler is such a great cook. We had roasted chicken, potatoes, gravy and corn on the cob. It was the best meal I've had in a long time. And then, when the chicken cooled down, Tyler picked off all the meat and then it was eagle feeding time. Tyler threw the chicken over and soon enough, a big eagle came and swooped it up.
And now we are enjoying our evening together.
Only 25 more days until we come home. And I can't wait!!!!
Kitten was being cute all day long. Right now she is laying on the back of the couch with her paws reaching out to Tyler's head. She is also coneless right now. So cute.

Early morning
Today I woke up way too early. I am not sure why I was just awake at 7 and didn't get back to sleep. I got fed up with tossing and turning by quarter to eight and just got out of bed. I had to go into work this morning also. Except that I was able to go in whenever I wanted. I decided to go just before 9. I was done in a half hour and was able to leave. I needed to take a package up to the airport so I went up after I was done in the lab this morning. Unfortunately the airport was still closed when I got there at 9:30. Apparently they don't open until 10 so I came home and waited for a bit until 10 came around and went back there, but this time with Sonja.
We came back and Sonja made the grocery list and menu for the week. We then ventured to the store to get everything. We came back and settled in for some of the day. I did some studying and Sonja did some stitching. After I was done studying for a bit I took a quick nap because I was pretty tired. I slept for a half hour or so, until Sonja woke me up. We went to the hall as there were people selling food there, more specifically our friend Jan was selling some sundaes and milkshakes. She wasn't there yet so we came home and watched some TV until the hockey game started.
We goto word that the hall was showing the hockey game and serving pizza. So being ones who know to not turn down a free meal, we headed up there and watched the first two periods or the game. We came home for the third and 11 seconds of overtime.
Sonja is down on the beach for a fire and I am off to work again in a few minutes.

Hmmm
Well, get ready for another very exciting blog. I worked last night and therefore, slept most of the day so you can guess how unimportant most of what I have to say today will be.
Here we go!
There wasn't anything special about work last night. I watched a drunk person slept off their high and then got to come home an hour early, so I guess that's a nice end to a night shift. I got home to find Tyler on the couch, eating his breakfast cereal. I had some cottage cheese with almonds, which is now my most favorite breakfast in the world, and soon headed off to bed. Tyler tucked me in all snug and soon left for work.
Tyler woke me up at 1:30 before he left to go back to work after his lunch break. I really just wanted to go back to sleep. I had no plans for the day so I just laid there for a few minutes. Eventually, I forced myself out of bed. I didn't want to waste any more of the day in bed.
Right away I started on the dishes that I neglected to do yesterday. I hate doing dishes but I managed to find a way to make it less horrible. I crank up some good music and I dance while I wash and dry. Does it end up taking more time in the end? Yes. It takes a lot longer when I'm getting my groove on in between plates or dancing my way over to a cupboard. Is it worth the extra time? Of course it is. I managed to mask the horrible act of doing dishes with something I love doing, so I will dance every time.
After dishes, uh, I'm not sure what I did. I know I was playing on my exercise ball for a while and I was reading my Bible for a while. I know I played with Kitten.
Not a very exciting day for me but that's what I come to expect when I sleep all day. I should be able to get to sleep tonight because I only got about 5 hours of sleep this morning. We had poutine for supper tonight, along with fake chicken strips. It tasted exactly the way I wanted it too. I was pretty hungry so it was what I needed.
During dinner, Kitten was going slightly crazy. She was scratching at our door and then racing around. It was pretty funny.
We have no plans for tonight. We are having a fish fry tomorrow night which should be fun. I'm looking forward to the weekend.
Enjoy!

Mini-Friday
Today was another long day in what has been an equally long week. I'm glad its Friday tomorrow. But again my day was pretty boring and pretty slow. I didn't really do anything, just did odd things around the lab and not to much else. It was super boring. I am glad the day is over and the week is near its end.
I came home after work and did some homework while Sonja made supper. Supper was simple tonight. We had french toast as we had some eggs to use up and bread. It was really good. Its always a nice change when you get to have breakfast for supper.
I did a little bit more homework, finishing up my assignment. After that I joined Sonja in the living room for a subdued night.
Sonja went for a couple walks today, even though it wasn't a super nice day. It rained and was cloudy. At least we don't need to water the lawn.
No plans for the rest of the night. Just relaxing and have some popcorn.

Wednesday, what day?
What a day! I think today is the laziest day I have ever had in a long time. And that makes me sad. I don't like admitting that I didn't do much because then it seems like I just wasted time all day. I did do stuff, just nothing worthy or really mentioning.
After Tyler kissed me good bye as he left for work, I tried to get back to sleep. I was pretty tired this morning as I had a 5:30 wake up call from my dearest Kitten. She was scratching on the screen and I don't want her to break anything, so I got out of bed and put the screen on higher ground. It seemed like as soon as Tyler got to work, he texted me. I tried to ignore it but I don't like it when my phone beeps while I'm trying to sleep. Tyler wanted me to take the camera and take some pictures of something outside. I really didn't want to get out of bed because I could have still gotten to sleep. But I knew that if I waited, the thing that Tyler wanted a picture of would have been gone. So I rolled out of bed and went outside.
It wasn't a very nice day out today. It was misting all day long. I went for a small walk and took the picture Tyler wanted. Once I got back home, I started on dishes just to get it out of the way. There is nothing worse then having that chore looming over me all day.
And then my day slowed down. I didn't feel like working out today so I didn't. I would have gone for another walk but the weather ruined that opportunity. I just felt like lounging around all day and it felt good.
I finished my cross stitch and will be bringing it home for all to see. It's pretty awesome and I hope it will hang in our home some day when we move home and have a home.
I have been applying lotion to my sun burn all day. I look pretty funny right now. My face is all red. I have a good farmers tan going on here too. I hope it evens out so I don't look ridiculous in the weddings we are going to this summer.
I think we ruined the nice weather. When we were on grave island yesterday, Tyler mentioned that usually when people on the island, it rains the next day. I'm not really one for believing in stories like that but it definitely wasn't sunny today.
Kitten was being cute all day of course. Yesterday, I noticed that her harness was broken so I took it off but the cone stayed on. We were hoping that she wouldn't notice because she can take her cone off. Today, she was good all day. I even took her cone off and she fell asleep beside me. She was such a good little girl today. When Tyler came home, we went off to the store to pick up a few items for supper. When we got home, little Miss. Sweetie was sitting beside her cone with a fresh open wound. What a brat. Tyler fixed the harness and now she is stuck in there again.
We are currently watching the hockey game, both cheering for the Bruins. Well, I'm sure Tyler would be cheering if he wasn't so tired.
It's been a lazy day and tomorrow I will get back on my regular schedule.
